How about Bush Not-45?

No news yet as far as I know, but my guess is he will do the same as #41 and 43.

From PPP on May 2nd:

I don’t care if the Senate election is still six months away, with a poll number as low as 38%, he’s done as a Senator. If he isn’t polling fairly close to 50% at this juncture, he won’t likely make up the difference. Giving Trump the ā€œthumbs upā€ will likely hurt much more than it helps. Like a blind pig in the wilderness, he’s doomed.

I see what you are saying about Citizen Untied not being directly associated with Trump. He’s self funded (and gotten millions of dollars in free publicity courtesy of the embedded mainstream media) so it does not apply.

However, it probably gave him the idea to finally run…he just decided he could buy the nomination. The Supreme Court said it was OK to buy Congress. Why not just buy the White House, too? This is how corrupted the system has gotten.

Hopefully, between Bernie pushing the issue and Trump’s presumptive presidency the nation will come to its senses and insist that Congress fix this. Democrats really need to start running viable candidates in all 50 states and the DNC needs to help them as well as fund them. Otherwise, I don’t see how this will ever change.

(I am utterly truthful, here, no snark, just true admiration for how you make words work.
ā€œ. . .And it would take years to prepare him even in the basics.ā€
please proceed, Governor!

Sen Warren is going to dismantle Trump like he did the old Bonwitt-Teller building

Gov. Rauner of Illinois will not endorse Trump and will not attend the convention. This is a retreat from earlier statements that he would support whoever was nominated.

Martha McSally R-AZ won’t answer, at least not in April. https://threesonorans.com/2016/04/23/gop-rep-martha-mcsally-does-not-endorse-donald-trump/

Not just his Klan support and penchant for encouraging violence at his rallies bother the elected officials who have lined up to support him. You figure his sucking up to the likes of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones would cause them to pause. Someone ought to run ads with Jones theories about Sandy Hook, 9/11 etc. in states where there is a senate race. Let the Republican candidate own up to his words.

Thank you TPM.
You have listed all my heroes in one article.

Does sharing the screen with Trump in a few Ted Strickland ads qualify as crazy. Roll the tape boys.

If she can turn Sanders into a gun toting cowboy, imagine what she can do to Trump.

Great Picture. Trump’s October Surprise:

BIN LADEN KILLING A HOAX. I’LL GET HIM

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) is a real moron, but did he really say of Trump, "He’s the perspective nominee… "? That takes some prospective!

I’m sure Ryan feels genuine revulsion at Trump’s overtly vile tactics (he prefers covertly vile) … but if Trump’s policies lined up with Ryan’s, then Ryan would hold his nose and support Trump in a heartbeat. Another obvious reason Ryan is holding off is that he will run for president at some point, and when Trump loses he can say ā€œRemember, I told you so.ā€ But the biggest reason that Ryan didn’t immediately endorse is that he realizes this is now a life or death negotiation between the Republican Party and Donald Trump over the agenda and policies they will pursue, and if the entire Republican leadership all endorse immediately they will have automatically forfeited any leverage over Trump (they do have some leverage, and Trump knows it whether he admits it or not). If they all endorse now, Trump will steamroll them into submission (he may anyways). But by holding off, they have from now until the convention to strike a deal on at least some issues. Ryan is the lead negotiator on behalf of the party, and ā€œI’m not there yetā€ is classic deal-making language that Trump understands perfectly well (and his response was a classic negotiating response). The battle lines have been drawn. It will be interesting to see how this mega-high stakes-negotiation plays out. One thing’s for sure–we’ll all get a chance to see Trump’s negotiating skills in action.

Senator Murkowski’s quote looks more like it should be classified as ā€œFuzzballā€ rather than ā€œI support the nominee.ā€

I have always supported the Republican nominee for president. Elections are about choices and while Hillary Clinton is not my choice — with her clear record against Alaska’s priorities — Donald Trump has made numerous inappropriate statements in the past that are troubling.

where’s ryan?
