Well that’s all well and good. But why do these guys get the “pick up and go home” option but nobody else is given anything close to that? Why? I go to jail…you go to jail but these guys “pick up and go home”.

“Group leader Ammon Bundy has told reporters they will leave when there’s a plan in place to turn over federal lands to locals.”
That’s never going to happen, so I guess Bundy and his band of self-deluding numb-skulls (which will inevitably dwindle in number as they get bored and hungry for real food and miss their wives and girlfriends), will just have to stay. This probably won’t last much longer, I’m guessing.

What is it, why are these assholes teflon? Is there a certain level of stupid that makes them unable to form intent and therefore Obama will not have them charged? Hell I’m stupid,according to my former GOP friends, I will go liberate some money from the clutches of the Federal Reserve and go home, see how that works out for me.

The Feds are trying to avoid martyring these guys. That would only strengthen the militia movement. As for arresting them, I suspect the militia guys won’t be off the hook legally and arrests might come later.

The land is native Indian land and surely does not belong to the Bundys who are welfare queens.

My grandmother was sure she was still a teetotaler because all she drank was Mogen David. Glasses and glasses of it. Really not wine at all, she insisted.

These guys are going to face federal charges after this all settles down. They are not being let off. If you tell them that now, they will just get confrontational. Let them think all is well to defuse things, bust them later. It’s the smart way to do this.

Turn over federal lands…as in give it to them. That’s what they want. There’s nothing noble in what they’re doing. There’s no Constitutional issue. They want the land so they can make money off it.
There are a few people that support these fools. Likely they are all going to benefit from that “free land”. But there are probably millions upon millions of Americans that fervently disagree with them and want to know why the special treatment. Why kick unarmed kids demanding equality not free stuff out of a City park in NYC, beat them and haul them off to jail on charges so bogus they get dropped within 72 hours? Why pepper spray college kids doing nothing wrong and haul them off to jail on charges so bogus they get dropped in less than 72 hours?
I hope some good comes out of the Bundy bull. That Constitution everyone is talking about was amended to ensure we all get treated equally under the law. It says nothing about giving a bunch of red necks free land and a free pass.

Better idea for a solution:
Turn off electricity that they’re not paying the bills for, don’t let them make regular shopping trips to resupply, starve them out and if they resist shoot them for being the treasonous toads that they are. Once they’ve surrendered, throw them in jail like you should have done after the Cliven Bundy standoff.
In other words, stop coddling the entitled little pricks and let them learn about a little something I like to call “the real world”.

Do, let’s see here:
-they want land that was appropriated from Indians to be awarded to the “locals”
-they’re doing this on the behalf of a couple of convicted felons
-they don’t have the support of the local people or Sherriff
-they’re occupying a cabin in the middle of winter that no one wants to use anyway
-they don’t even have enough supplies to support their stated goals
Even the usually reliable right wing nut job politicians don’t support them.
Hell of a job guys! I wouldn’t let you guys run a Boy Scout troop.

I doubt they’ll be arrested for anything. Was Bundy and his bunch in Bundyville? No, and they were armed, loaded and pointed weapons of mass destruction at the authorities. So what. Sedition is fine with the government as long as it is their brothers and sisters, Moms and Dads and children who are fomenting it. They are all brothers-in-arms the way I see it, and the way the FBI handles it - not.

Disagree. They are strengthening the “militias” by their failure to take any action whatsoever. The choices aren’t Ruby Ridge and nothing at all, there are other options. Failure to act only guarantees that this will happen again and again.
