Discussion: Top Sanders Aide: RNC Chair Did Better Job Unifying Party Than DNC Chair

I don’t like DWS, but Weaver is using her as a scapegoat. This guy is a pathetic loser. Dems need to start fighting back against the Sanders campaign. Rolling over does nothing.

Maybe that’s because the Republican candidates wanted to unify their party, even with an asshole like Trump as the nominee, whereas you and Sanders and the Bros seem to actually want to blow up the Democratic party.

Sanders’ aide: “I did a better job fracturing the Democratic party than anyone on the GOP side.”

As I posted yesterday, I take Weaver’s comment as Sanders’s until and unless he unequivocally disavows this guy.

My response to this is also to Josh’s e-mail from reader DR:

Regardless of what you think of DWS’s tenure, now is NOT the time to get rid of her. Look, in a crisis, you deal with the hand you’ve been dealt not some completely alternative hand. Getting rid of her would create internal chaos in the Dem Party and it would send a big signal to the Berniacs that they were able to get a scalp. And for what? As so many here have already said, come Nov. '17, these sh*theads will be nowhere to be found and their Dear Leader will be telling them not to vote because after all, it’s rigged anyway.

EDIT TO ADD: @progressivedem Rolling over never got the Obama Admin. anything in regards to the Rethugs. Why would it be any different with these a holes?

So Sanders supporters are mad that Bernie got fewer delegates in Nevada, to the point of throwing chairs and threatening violence. But, didn’t Clinton win the Nevada caucus way back when the votes were taken? So, therefore, shouldn’t she get more delegates in the end, being the winner and all? Blaming DWS because you couldn’t manage to win, or manage to steal a win that you originally lost, isn’t very presidential.

This is part of why I very much disagree with Josh’s latest ed blog entry. First off, The Hill article, and the email he lists…are both completely anonymous sources. The only sourced people we have calling for to be removed are…Bernie’s campaign and Bernie surrogates (aka, Van “30% of Blacks are gonna vote Trump if we elect Hillary!!” Jones).

So how is caving into the demands of an intractable group that, even when offered an olive branch, respond by picking the biggest Obama critic they could find to sit on the committee, going to somehow unify the party? Is Bernie saying through back channels…'My beef is only with DWS, remove her and I will resign the campaign and fully endorse Hillary and work harder than she did in 2008" Not hardly.

What I see going on is the Sanders campaign is digger deeper into their bubble and demanding more and getting more outlandish and aggressive with their attacks…which, are exclusively being aimed at high profile Democratic women.

Firing the DNC chair in the middle of a General election…considering she won Senate seats, House seats and the Presidency during her last General election as DNC Chair…causing disruptions and creating new animosities is NOT a “unifying” strategy to beat Trump. Quite frankly it plays right into the “Dems in Chaos” meme that the media so loves and is singing daily because of…the exact people demanding this…the Sanders campaign.

The longest 12 days of 2016…waiting for 7 June 2016. D-Day 2.0

Apparently, ASSUMING common sense and civility does not cut it in 2016. If Democratic officials could have foreseen the BernieDerp he and Weaver have unleashed, the Sanders campaign would have started by having Sanders’ campaign arrangements broadcast nationally including dozens of lawyers on each side.

I am going to be honest…I did not anticipate this.

Once again, the Sanders campaign accepts zero responsibility for it’s failure(s).

Fuck this guy. He’s not even a registered Democrat. He’s been all for berning down the Democratic Party since day one. Stuff it already you prick. What middle-aged asshole starts a fucking comic book store anyways? One that’s fucking insecure about getting older and is still holding onto the past in search of finding that immature young man you once were. Grow the fuck up already.

Someone needs to look at Jeff Weaver’s financials to see if large deposits are coming in from the Koch Machine.
It’s that, or this fucker is one of the WORST “Campaign Managers” I have ever witnessed.
I bet his Ice Cream sucks too.

she won Senate seats, House seats and the Presidency during her last General election as DNC Chair

Well, if you’re giving credit to DWS in a Presidential year for a gain of two Senate seats and eight House seats, then she also bears blame for the terrible performance in the 2014 midterms, where Dems lost 9 Senate seats and 13 House seats. In any event, giving credit to any DNC chair for Presidential election gains is questionable, given the importance of having the Presidency on the ballot. It’s midterm elections that show how competent—or not—a party Chair is, and both DWS and the equally hackish Tim Kaine have been disasters. Getting rid of Howard Dean was a terrible decision.

I wanted her gone last year, but if nobody demonstrably better is available, I’m not sure replacing her with some equally flawed hack makes sense at this point in the campaign cycle.
