Of course, the biggest reason the Democrats haven’t “unified” yet is Bernie Sanders and his refusal to accept the fact that he lost—and his most vocal and unhinged cultists, who falsely believe that Bernie is akin to The Second Coming and that Hillary is Satan Incarnate.
Life inside the Bernie Bubble leads to a total avoidance of reality.

It seems that most of the commenters here at TPM don’t know how to be civil. Pity.
And no doubt this board will be FILLED with the most vile and negative comments instead of trying to have a productive conversation.
I don’t mean to be critical of your statement, but I once worked with one of the most difficult assholes on earth at one time, that had that as a bumper sticker on the back of her car…I’ll never forget it either. She was one meanest women I ever knew, and yet…there it was…that bumper sticker. We both worked with children in crisis at the time, and her insensitivity seemed to know no bounds. Just a stray anecdote.

These people are reprehensible. “I’m going to do everything in my power to sow anger and division, and then act as though it’s someone else’s fault the party’s divided.” Its like cranking up the radio as loud as it will go and then bitching that the other person isn’t talking loud enough. It’s fucking asinine. These people are nasty, privileged, little punks who are willing to tear down the country, the world to get their way. Win or lose, after the election the Democratic Party must take Sanders to the woodshed… and leave his body out back for the animals to devour.

What did the Sanders campaign do to unify the party? From the article:
Despite calls from Democratic leaders to quash any potential violence coming from his supporters, Sanders released a statement saying that was “nonsense” and criticizing state party leaders.
Can’t wait until Jeff Weaver returns to his comic book shop to live the rest of his days off the money Sander’s supporters willingly gave him.

Alright…but let’s be honest here.
The party pushing for removing DWS right now is the self declared leader of the progressive wing. Who absolutely abhor the Blue Dogs that Dean’s 50 state strategy got elected.
And as terrible as the 2014 midterms were…we DID win in 2012. Make a case to me that replacing the DNC Chair at this moment is time is a much better strategy for winning in 2016.
We can have the conversation about replacing her in 2017 and I will fully agree with you. But not now. And definitely not under these circumstances. Removing the female DNC Chair ahead of the first woman ever running for President, at the urging of a group that has spent the last month exclusively attacking prominent Democratic women?

Look, The Bernie has become an auto-cliché; a self-caricature. He’s laughable as are his campaign staff. You can predict what they’ll say and even their syntax in reaction to just about any circumstances. People are laughing at him now. And quite simply, he’s over as a force in American politics AND IT’S HIS OWN GODDAM FAULT!
