They have editors ?
He will be missed.
(I know nothing about the gentleman. I don’t believe I’ve ever heard of him. But that seems a safe thing to say.
)
Good for you, Howard. Hope you unseat Chuckie Toad and send him scurrying over to FuxNoose.
FluffPo is just a shadow of its former self. Arianna cashed out bigly by stabbing so many talented bloggers in their backs. I personally left the site behind last year when they repeatedly featured scumbag HA Goodman and his “Vote Stein!” rants and I don’t miss it at all.
I deleted HuffPo from my bookmarks after the 2008 election. They were pretty biased in their reporting in the 2008 Dem primary campaign. I lost respect for Fineman when he took that position. I’m pretty indifferent to the fate of HuffPo, Jon Stewart cracked me up when he nicknamed HuffPo “The Sideboob Gazette”.
10 Reasons Howard Fineman is Leaving HuffPo. #6 Will AMAZE You!
The move to NBC must have been in the works for quite a while. Exactly what is the difference between MSNBC and NBC News anyway. They seem to cross over at will.
Is that who came over here to defend Jill Stein recently?
Such astute political judgment.
any headline lede reading so&so is leaving not followed by ass-grabbing claims is a relief. Talk on Mr Fineman.

[/quote]That’s a good question. Is it like NBC and MS NBC - husband and wife? Or Pacman and Ms Pacman?
I actually think Fineman is a pretty good journalist (as well as a fine man). Perhaps he can add something to a mainstream outlet and put himself in Trump’s tweet cross hairs.
your play on ‘fine man’ did not go unnoticed. well played.
Agreed, I like him quite a bit and think he’ll be a great addition at NBC. He got his start at the Courier Journal here in Louisville and has generally done us proud.
Cripes TPM. Nobody cares about Howard Fineman.
Huffington Post started out as an antidote to Drudge Report, the pioneer of aggregators. Arianna’s promise to pay for content really never went too far, and eventually became stiffing people for content. The biggest mistake, however, was the decision to force users to expose their identities. That dropped the site from 11th on the Alexa traffic ratings to somewhere in the 200s. Given that the comments sections were what drove traffic onto the site and kept it there, it must rank among the worst moves in website management ever. Arianna left and Verizon has turned the poor thing into a links to actual news, celeb news site and the outrage du jour, something along the lines with formats followed by UK sites like the Mirror or Daily Mail. My how the mighty have fallen.
Excellent point. Facebook based commenting was a killer.
It’s about time.
you follow the news but have not heard of Howard Fineman?
Because this totally bears repeating. Arianna stood on the shoulders of some really great people and then took the AOL money and ran. She is despicable.
Or Chris Matthews. They need to get another liberal replace Joan Welsh…not clear as to why they got rid of her.
