āItās not been rushed,ā Thune, the third-ranking Republican in the Senate, told Fox Newsā Jon Scott in an interview.

Truth does not equal misinformation, Senator Thuneā¦
Donāt worry, Republicanās have a really, really hard time with that concept.
āAnd so thereās a lot of misinformation thatās being put out there, of course by Democrats."
Unlike, you know, when Republicans claimed āObamacareā had death panels and that it would bankrupt the country and that EVERYBODY hated it andā¦andā¦andā¦
āMedicaid will increase under this plan every year,ā Thune said, not disputing a question from Scott about Democratic claims that the bill would dramatically cut Medicaid funding. āIt will increase every year at the rate of inflation.ā
Ah, the proles have been reassured. Now, does the bill adjust for the overall rate of inflation every year, or the rate of inflation for medical goods and services? Hmmm, let me guess...........
Far be it from any journalist to probe that distinction.
āFor instance,ā he added, āsome people think we care about our constituentsā health. Nothing could be further from the truth.ā
Thune is trying to justify cutting Medicare and Medicaid forever. Seniors are going to have to decided on whether to buy medicine or food again. Under Obamacare they didnāt have to decide. Republicans are using the same old talking points they use every time they cut Medicare. That it is going broke. What a crock. Why donāt republicans just admit they donāt care about seniors at all. It is more important that their rich donors get those huge tax breaks that comes out of Medicare cuts.
What a liar!
You know what would have helped? Releasing the bill earlier and explaining its provisionsā¦HAHAHAHAHA, of course that wouldnāt have helped. Good look eating that turd burger, boys - itās the keeping it down part thatās most difficult.
Top GOP Senator: Thereās āA Lot Of Misinformationā About Our Repeal Bill
Boy, is that an understatement!.. The whole repeal is an exercise in mis-information rivaling the Ghost First U.S. Army Group in WW2. The only thing missing is the Inflatable rubber tanks.
The target here are the republican voters that thought they will get cheaper premiums ⦠suckers!
so whatās your point? i mean, it hasnāt needed debate or hearings or roundtables, and the dems havenāt even tried to amend it. itās like basically perfect!!!
Iām exhausted. The GOP is like a gigantic permanent, meandering cyclone destryoying everything in its path. It destroys your house, your town. You rebuild and it comes back to destroy it again.
cool reasoning. if i ever start a business, iām going to give my employees a 1 cent raise every year, and tell them, āyour salary has increased every year, and will continue to increase every year!!!ā
(and, of course, iāll also put in performance goals that are impossible for most of them to attain, so that they wind up out of a job anyway, and tell them that they should have just worked harder and pulled themselves up by their own bootstraps.)
"Scott noted ten minutes later that Thune wasnāt able to continue the interview ābecause of his Senate schedule.ā "
Thatās a good one. āThereās been a lot of misinformation, including the lie that this bill was rushed. But sorry I donāt have time to address any of it right now. I have to go prepare to vote on the bill that was just released!ā
i would be willing to bet my house that if someone could hack thuneās emails (cough, hello russia, cough), there would be emails from days or weeks ago that involve using a talking point very similar to āthereās been a lot of disinformation put out there by the democrats.ā
There is āa lot of misinformationā about Senator John Thune, too. Mainly that he is a human being. But, then again, he IS a Republican, the only species of mammal that can survive without a functioning heart and brain.
synonym: parasite
The misinformation is all coming from you and your colleagues.
Thune can talk? I thought he was a cardboard cutout that McConnell placed behind him when he met the press.
