Can this be passed with 50 votes in the Senate or do they need 60? Is this being done by reconciliation? It’s not clear.
They don’t have the balls to take health insurance away from people. People will die and that’s difficult politically.
…has any elected official ever looked ‘in-depth’ at the garbage that their staff produces? I mean if you can’t describe it in 2-3 tweets, then it’s too long…
interesting… how does he think he’ll get to cloture? or will this drive the final ‘nuclear option’ to fruition?
I don’t think this is a reconciliation bill…
Health Care Proposal 'May Not' Get A Majority Of Votes
GOSH …
Who would of thunk it ? ? …
Trump: Not worried. I am with Electoral College. Majority is for losers like Hillary or Obama.
They can pass budget-related items with 51 votes via reconciliation. Regulatory issues will need 60 to get past the filibuster in the Senate. It doesn’t take balls to take away (or at least degrade) people’s health insurance. Indifference is what it takes. Case in point, 33000 gun deaths per year, many preventable. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/gun-deaths/
Trump: I want moochers in Alabama, WV, Kentucky, Alaska etc to get off their white filthy back and earn for their health care.
I thought the Republicans would love it gets rid of all those poor old disabled and poor children getting a free ride on health care. “those” people have got to work doncha know. meanwhile lets bust the economy the budget and the rest of “those people” we didn’t get with the AFCA. lets spend 54$ Billion with a B for the over stocked Military Industrial complex having parties over the budget. they can spend on war war war. Trump just has to push a button chances are he will. lol. 54 billion.
2018 is closer then you think and these Senators know it.
Ha ha …
Seen elsewhere - but worth repeating. Chaffetz: Let Them Eat iphones!
Having people die has never stopped these pricks before, the people most at risk are poor and have little political power…so…Fuck 'em
Exactly my thoughts. Imagine running against ads with grieving families talking about the death of loved one because they lost health coverage or very sick people talking about their impending deaths. It would be a disaster.
And the children, those pesky non working kids that somehow got cancer and will exceed the lifetime caps.
Yes, but they’re good a deflecting blame. Mental health, etc when there are gun deaths. It’s going to be hard to blame someone else when the CBO says people will lose insurance if you do this.
So 4 Republican Senators are saying “no” unless you keep Medicaid, and 3 Republican Senators are saying “no” to “Obamacare Lite”.
I don’t see how these two groups can reconcile those goals.
