Discussion: Top Democrats Up In Arms Over Barr's 'Spying' Comment

It’s past time for subpoenas.

And high-time for a full report to be leaked - as appears necessary - to Nadler and Schiff by way of a trusted and discreet intermediary.

This shit needs to end now … before more damage is done.

I don’t know for certain what Barr’s motivation is but that’s as plausible as anything else I’ve seen. Barr’s daughter & son-in-law both have jobs in the administration so that’s another way they could have him by the short and curlies.

It is no mystery what Barr is doing. He is an Evil Republican to the core in the crusade to bring a permanent dictatorship of the GOP. Do not think he is being led, he is a leader in the Evil.

Barr is very quick and efficient in destroying his reputation and killing any career he may have once Trump leaves office in disgrace.

I think McDonalds is giving out a free cup of coffee for being up in arms.

Yeah, I’m gonna take anything the New York Times claims with more than the daily recommended value for salt.

Take off the fucking gloves. Nobody is going to care about your careful consideration of the legalities and norms and niceties when the Pumpkin Traitor has us all locked in elimination camps that make Auschwitz look like a beach vacation.

Claim a national emergency, charge everyone who objects with treason and ship them to Guantanamo tonight.

Take them down. Now.

Barr really, really doesn’t want to kick this ant hill.

Mercy!

He said he had “no specific evidence” of spying to reference.

Specific, huh? You, Sir, are a weasel.

A couple of suggestions:
1: Let’s all go to GOP headquarters and get all of their TRUMP bumper stickers and then post them on trash dumpsters around our cities. BTW, the way to tell if you’re in the GOP HQ and not at a KKK office is they usually don’t wear their hoods in the GOP office, though the sentiments are the same.

2: When the Democrats have both houses of Congress, the first order of business is a law that says that Presidents can be indicted, tried and if found guilty of the crime, be sentenced. Let the Congress do the political work of removing the bastard from office (after the FBI has removed him from the office building in handcuffs).

I’m waiting on the time-honored question, Tena.

ETA: Fixed the BTW sentence.

What’s he afraid of? Nothing! None of these sonsofbitches is afraid of anything, as the two readers of my newsletter have heard me say for 2 years now. I get the sentiment, but no historian has ever recorded Goebbels, Hess or Rosenberg writing in their diaries their concern for “the judgement of history” much less the law.

the first order of business is a law

Yes, I want all Dem candidates and the eventual nominee to make de-Nazification of the federal government a priority. While I definitely know better in terms of accountability, we still have to do everything possible to Republican-proof the institutions as much as possible.

EVERY top Trump official is conspiring with Russia against the United States. It could not be any clearer!

Yeah I haven’t asked it for a couple of days.

Have we impeached the motherfucker yet?

Trump will reward him well for contributing to his favorite talking point

That’s not really an argument against subpoenas, since 2021 will come about a lot sooner than “never”.

And, if my guess is correct, Rosenstein is walking a tightrope trying to keep his ass covered throughout this fiasco. Not going to emerge as one of the heroes of this saga, I’m afraid.

Isn’t it apparent he cares not one whit about his reputation with anyone outside GOP/conservative/Christian/Fox/White Nationalists circles?

He would be more than glad to be considered the worst human being ever by the Left while being hailed by the Right Wing has their savior who ushered in Trump’s second term and the perpetual dictatorship of the Right wing.

He is finally getting his chance to secure a glorious legacy and will make the most of it.
