These Republican leaders now get to defend those quotes for the next month, and the people of Alabama will decide what they think of them, as well as Moore, in the course of time.

But, since the parties have switched places, you now know what it was like running as a Republican in the Alabama of the 1930s.

“The same thing went on when President Trump ran for office, there was about 15 ladies who ran to the press and said the same thing,” he said.

This will be the Moore strategy. Compare Moore to Trump, nationalize the race, make it Moore v heinous Democrats and NeverTrumpers.

Ziegler went even further while talking to the Washington Examiner.

“There is nothing to see here,” he said. “The allegations are that a man in his early 30s dated teenage girls. Even the Washington Post report says that he never had sexual intercourse with any of the girls and never attempted sexual intercourse.”

Cameron, you missed the best part of Ziegler’s comments!

“He’s clean as a hound’s tooth,” Ziegler claimed, before relying on Scripture to defend Moore.

“Take the Bible. Zachariah and Elizabeth for instance. Zachariah was extremely old to marry Elizabeth and they became the parents of John the Baptist,” Ziegler said choosing his words carefully before invoking Christ. “Also take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus.”

“There’s just nothing immoral or illegal here,” Ziegler concluded. “Maybe just a little bit unusual.”

The allegations are that a man in his early 30s dated teenage girls.

Can you imagine allowing your teenage daughter to be alone with such a man? Can you imagine hearing this about, say, a schoolteacher?

Voters of Alabama, what say you? Is this allegation a nothingburger?

Look, we all know that banging teenage girls isn’t a sin in Alabama as long as you’re reciting the ten commandments while doing it. So, why is this a problem?

I got $20 says Moore wins by at least 3 points.

It’s simple. If you start criticizing politicians who go after teenage girls, soon no politician will be able to do that. McConnell is going to ruin everyone’s fun just because he doesn’t like Roy Moore.

Shorter AL GOP, “hey, we’re not even close to dead girl or live boy territory here.”

“Maybe she just needs to take a polygraph test. And the people who are pushing her, they need to take the same test too to see if they’re telling the truth,” he said.

Exactly! Just like Trump should have been forced to take a polygraph when he accused President Obama of not being born in the United States.
