If Trump should win the GOP nomination, President Obama would reduce the man to nothing more than the empty balloon left over after his ego was deflated.
Starting with the White House Correspondent’s Dinner in 2011, to tonight, President Obama has had Trump’s number, and it has been a beautiful thing to watch.

I disagree. The insults were not directed at Trump personally but at the GOP in general.
Trump just gives negative Republicans what they they want…more negativity…and promises that none of them ever plan to deliver even if they knew how.
They really don’t know how. That’s the sad truth and everyone knows it. Bush/Cheney let the cat out of the bag. Republicans are adrift with no one at the helm or anyone capable of handling it.

She was afraid not to. Niki doesn’t want to be called ugly because she’s a woman Republican running for top office…or for being a Muslim. Can’t imagine Trump knowing the difference between one who is of Hindu American origins and a Muslim American.

It’s something that I can imagine. And in that scenario, I’m watching him give a SOTU speech from a very nice house outside of Toronto. And I’m currently in a very nice house in California. I would not want to live in an America that elects a Trump.

15 minutes after Noon, on January 20, 2017, nobody except Obama Historians are going to remember one word of this speech. He might as well have read his grocery list. The GOP isn’t listening, and the Democrats have HRH HRC on what few brains and little spine they seem to have left to them. After 12:00 PM on January 20,2017 Obama will matter about as much as Alf Landon mattered on January 20,1937. Obama has a ways to go to make something of himself Post Presidency. Let’s see if he can do half as well as Jimmy Carter has done.

Ex Presidents all have to establish or re-establish a life for themselves. Some do it extremely well as Carter has done. Others do it very poorly as GWBush is doing. Obama has the intelligence and talent to be up there with Carter, so that is my expectation. Obama’s speeches should be cherished. It may be another 8 or more years before we get the pleasure of listening to more such high quality speeches by a President.

I am going to remember the Obama presidency with great fondness and gratitude and will feel proud that I joined in and helped get him elected. I have no doubt at all that he will continue to do great things.

Yeah, because nobody is ever going to remember the first black president, only the eighth president to win twice with 51‰ of the electorate, the president who finally pushed through healthcare reform after nearly a century of effort, the president who oversaw marriage equality, the one president who signed a historic multi-nation agreement to thwart climate change. Nope, no one will remember any of that because reasons and such.
