Cotton, I’m pretty sure you have no shame.
Sorry TC but youre wrong…we should be very ashamed at how we took the most western nation in the Middle East and turned it into a hellhole for the Iraqi citizens and a breeding ground for ISIS.
Here is a book for Mr. Cotton to read: Imperial Life in The Emerald City: Inside Iraq’s Green Zone (Rajiv Chandrasekaran). Many follies and stupidities of the Bremer Provisional Coalition. Much to be ashamed about.
Who is this “we.” I am not ashamed of anything. The Bush Administration, the press who did not do their job exposing the lies, and all the clowns who voted for it should definitely be ashamed.
Cotton, Gohmert, Gowdy. Have we always had this level of stupidity in Congress? It’s breathtaking how venal they are with absolutely zero introspection.
I just can’t get over these assholes.
We rushed to war. The WMD and mushroom cloud accusations were bullshit. They said it would take a couple of weeks. They said we’d be greeted as liberators. They didn’t even put the cost on the books.
IT WAS BULLSHIT!
Both wars were!
We created unstability in Iraq; it was like that long before Obama set foot in the White House. He was somehow supposed to magically make it all go away and so now all this - all this - is somehow Obama’s fault.
The fuck.
We should have never. been. there. in. the. first. place.
He’s here, he’s odd, get used to it!
It wasn’t Obama’s “decision to withdraw troops from Iraq” in 2011. It was Bush’s. The Bushies signed that agreement and the Iraqis refused to budge on it. Period.
The biggest shame is that these people never learn from mistakes.
This is wonderful news! If the republicans want to make the 2016 Presidential election about the Iraq war then they’re in for a long, painful year.
I know how you feel, Tommy. So did a lot of vets. Here, I can prove it:
“We should not be ashamed of the war we conducted in (Vietnam/ Korea/ Mexico,)” he told the Washington Examiner.
“You don’t get to live life in reverse. What a leader has to do is make a decision, at the moment of decision, based on the best information he has. George Bush lied to everybody in 2002 and 2003 and he was supported by Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden and John Kerry and every western country’s intelligence agency except the ones on Planet Earth,” Cotton continued. “There are lessons we can learn from the early days of the Vietnam/Korean/Mexican) war. One is that we clearly should be more critically analytical about our approach to intelligence assessments.”
I suspect those who elected these fools are downright miffed that you’re calling them baby cow meat.
This guy isnt qualified to be a County Commissioner, much less a US Senator.
I cringed when Obama was inaugurated and he decided that he was going to let bygones be bygones and not investigate the run up to the Iraq war, in other words, let’s look forward instead of back. Let’s also not examine how 9/11 happened under Cheney’s watch. He thought it would buy him goodwill. It was an irreversible error.
I was wishing he would start throwing Bushies in the Slammer. One after the other.
Tom wants in the #GOP_MORONATHON …
We should be ashamed that the war criminals are not being charged.
It’s not wise to conduct government as it is simply the opportunity to conduct vendettas even though the villains are the cheney and the bushies. The weight of public opinion has mostly buried these two, though you’ll never them acknowledge it…
You would think a war veteran would cease wanting more war after having been on a battlefield and seen the carnage which results.
