Discussion: Tom Arnold Gave WSJ Recording Of Michael Cohen Retreating From Guilty Plea

the last time I checked, it was still legal to lie to Tom Arnold, even after you’ve pled guilty to the crimes in question.

I won’t believe anything until Rosanne weighs in…

Does it matter anymore?

Cohen said elsewhere in the 36-minute recording, of which the Journal published a few minutes, that “they had me on campaign finance.”

Along with “Individual 1”.

Funny how unindicted co-conspirators (and their enablers) think the Mueller Report is all that matters.

Maybe, maybe not.

This is an era that drags out stupid s— and if it’s ‘seen’ that Cohen’s regrets is something else…

Actor and comedian Tom Arnold appeared to betray the trust of former Trump fixer Michael Cohen on Wednesday, giving a recording to The Wall Street Journal of a phone call he had with Cohen…

That’s nothing.

You should hear what Michael Cohen said to Tom Arnold on their follow-up phone call:

“Tread very fucking lightly because what I’m going to do to you is going to be fucking disgusting. Do you understand me?”

Uhm…wow. Tom Arnold’s a douchebag. So Cohen’s pouring his lying heart out to him and saying how alone he is and Arnold calls him a hero while secretly recording the whole conversation. And for what, so we could hear that Cohen is privately telling people he’s innocent when he wants to sound like the victim?

At least Linda Tripp had a profit motive for her betrayal. Arnold went after a lonely man who already lost everything and was desperate for a friend. I can understand if he recorded Cohen confessing to MORE crimes, but not pretending to be innocent. This only makes me feel worse for Cohen.

It’s really irrelevant if Cohen is bellyaching about being caught out and pleading guilty…it’s likely most criminals do something similar. Remember Shawshank. In public, Cohen has taken responsibility, and continues to do so, what he says in confidence to a “friend” doesn’t really matter.

Arnold, however, is a dick…and apparently a Trump supporter, because the only person this helps is Trump as it casts Cohen in a bad light.

The Arnold / Tripp analogy is so apt. I have no idea what Arnold’s game is but I don’t trust him one iota. Remember in 2016 that he kept promising that someone would leak Apprentice tapes with Trump using the n-word. Tapes never materialized.

Tom Arnold was my wife’s softball coach when she was a kid, and my brother-in-law’s best friend in jr. high/high school. He is also a comedian, a blowhard, and appears to be somewhat brain-addled.

None of this qualifies him to be involved at the highest levels of government investigations.

Then again, given that Donald J Trump is president, it may be the most apt thing on earth. Who the fuck knows anymore.

Tom Arnold’s game is Tom Arnold.

Pretty sure there were FAR more serious charges that could have been brought, hence the plea deal. So the big question, will Tom Arnold be cast as Cohen in the inevitable movie?

“You are a hero and you’re not alone. Now about those pee tapes.”

Tom Arnold = Michael Avenatti?

Both sleazeballs from day one.
