I was at the Women’s march. There were a least 3 million people there and not ONE TV news service helicopter was over head all day. Not ONE. The Mall was covered with people, every side streetwise was covered with people, the subways were shut down there were so any people, it was a TOTAL TAKE OVER OF DC. And there wasnt a news service in sight.
The news that day was suppressed, and it infuriates me to this day.

It will come as no surprise if some Trump-sucking, NRA-worshiping, white supremacist ammo-sexuals will mock, assault and maybe kill some of these protesters. There is no bottom to the pit the gun-lovers occupy. Violence is assured, and it will start with the NRA members.

Actually, you sound just like them.

I’ll be in Boston. Go Albany!!!

Today while shopping at the local non-Walmart box store, I saw a guy wearing a black cowboy hat, black button-down shirt, black jeans and black cowboy boots. He had a black mustache and one of those chin only beards, longish black hair. He was packing a six-gun with full wild west holster, tied down on his right leg, bullets in every one of those bullet loop thingies. He made a slow amble through the store and then left without buying anything.

I think he was trying to make some kind of statement…

I’m watching some talking heads interview kids for gun control. Nobody seems to know that Heller v DC says that the 2nd Amendment as interpreted by this case says that the 2nd allows for the ownership for a handgun and THAT"S ALL.
It does not allow for an arsenal in your attic.

That is the law of the land re the 2nd Amendment.

Sounds like there was a cowboy shooting competition in town. It’s like rodeo and bullfight, without the animal abuse. Competition points for costume in addition to marksmanship. That’s full costume, right down to the single action Old West revolver and belt of one-by-one reloads.

Gun nuts carry semiautomatic firearms to make their 2nd amendment runway walk.

My little town is expecting hundreds of people and all the local churches are participating(!) which is refreshing. The only problem is we may not have too many young people because they’ve all gotten on buses and gone to DC.

It may have seemed that way but I saw all day coverage of the march–on MSNBC and CNN. The network nightly news covered it and newspapers had pictures on their front pages.

Around Washington DC, you don’t need helicopters to get unobstructed rooftop views. And most people don’t notice or recognize that little dot up there as a news drone.

(As opposed to the drones that show up on our TV and computer screens.)

Politicians will only listen when those who want gun control can out donate the NRA. Politicians listen to donors, not civilians. That 90+ percent of people want sensible controls makes no damned difference unless donations are on the plate. But nonetheless I support the marches completely and I admire those young people!

The guillotine was such a nice touch …

It always got their attention —

Imagine the shock politicians would suffer if the 90% who want sensible gun laws were to use this issue to frame their votes. There would be a lotta new faces in DC I am thinking.

Though Congress is not in session, the President has run away, I’m cheering all of you on!

(If this becomes a thing I wonder if we could amass enough people to march, sit down, cause a ruckus outside each and every Congresscritter’s offices that got NRA donation next year?)

With respect - I wonder when the RW commentators will be shouting out about this . Little Alex Jones ?

My husband and I will be there. Since we live in the DC suburbs, there’s no reason for us not to go.

The wife and I will be in Orlando. I suspect there will be a pretty good turnout.

I’m imagining bus loads of Chicagoans making the 1 hour trip to Ryan’s Janesville office
