Remember every one of those senators yelling at each other gave Trump the nomination. They could have done something to thwart it in 2015-16 but they kowtowed to him and lord knows who else. I wonder how many regret it in private or the cloakroom.

They could solve this easily if several of them declared themselves independents and caucused with the Democrats. It probably won’t get to that but they do appear to be cracking under the pressure. It is good to hear that Mitch is getting some heat. The press needs to get on this and report how he is enabling Trump’s government shutdown.

I get another chance to vote against this POS in 2020 and I am looking forward to it.

Counting actual gov’t employees, their partners, children and close relatives, and contractors and their relatives, and everyone else downstream adversely affected by this shutdown, the people pissed off by this has to number in the millions. Pollling shows a solid majority of them blame Trump and the GOP. I’m curious how that will translate at the ballot box.

“There is no education in the second kick of a mule,” he quipped

Oh, he’s such a folksy, relatable guy. For a tool and a collaborator.

So who’s the mule in this scenario anyway? Hint: mules are known as stubborn, impotent asses.

If Trump is to be believed building a wall will severely depress duct tape sales.

You reap what you sow.Its on display for the whole world to see.In the meantime hour by hour the pressure of the uncertainty for these government workers and their families is criminal. And by what Wilbur Ross said yesterday about their plight and Trump thought he was cleaning tells them the people in charge could care less.

BTW,No doubt Trumps so called BASE and their family and friends are feeling this to.

"There is no education in the second kick of a mule,” said McConnell as the mule kicked him the third time while promising continued kicks till the end of his presidency.

So maybe McConnell does the right thing for the wrong reason by blaming the shutdown on the Democrat’s unwillingness to negotiate in good faith, and that they, the good citizen Republicans will be the adult in the room and will bring a veto proof bill to the floor.

Let me offer my thoughts and prayers to the GOP senate delegation. Wait, I am an atheist so scratch the prayers. Just thoughts which in this case is “what a bunch of maroons”. Apologies to Bugs.
