Discussion: This Is Why The RNC Can Pay Don Jr's— Or Other Staffers'—Russia Probe Bills

Why should anyone contribute to the RNC when the money is used to pay lawyers?

WH staffers have problems with ‘cant accept gifts’ clauses since they are federal employees which complicate use of RNC slush funds.

Let the GOP use its money this way rather than on trying to win 2018 and 2020 elections! :woman_shrugging:t2:

He’s saying it’s the responsibility of every conservative voter to give all their money to Donald Trump, so he doesn’t have to tap his billions to pay to defend his personal actions.

Come on, Republican voters, fork over your money!

Do it quick too, because higher taxes and higher health care premiums are right around the corner. Oh, and your interest payments on the debt just went up.

Save Donald’s wealth. It’s your duty.

Having the RNC pay bills for the Trumpf conspirators is a double win for Democrats (and the nation): that much less money to spend on misleading the American people about public issues, and it ties the party more closely to the conspiracy.

Let them waste their money. It’s no good here.

Trump has always been a cheapskate. Why would anyone expect him to pay for anything himself now?

It would be interesting to see who the big donors are and to find out what they are getting for their “donation”.

Three times the usual limit. And easily tracked. But no, it’s not anything like a bribe or money-laundering.

I sure hope the DNC does not blow this opportunity. The Trump administration, their lawyers, and their lawyers’ lawyers are draining the RNC coffers. The RNC is paying the legal bills for a traitorous, criminal conspiracy. Why would they agree to do that? Hmm… perhaps the RNC is complicit? Why are so many Republicans so eager to ignore the Russian interference in our elections?
Anyway, the political ads write themselves. Or, they should.

Ummmm
These are people who brazenly ignore the Emoluments clause.
So they wouldn’t need no stinkin’ justification for ignoring whatever laws applied here.
If there were any.

I think they owe Sarah Palin some fresh leathers and an armoire full of Ivanka-wear.

Using his rationale, I’d be interested to learn when, if ever, alleged billionaire Trump would be expected to take responsibility for his family’s legal costs.

It is truly amazing how fully subservient American conservatives have become to the rich. The Prosperity Gospel is self-fulfilling.

One has to face the fact that the whole political process is corrupt.
Show me one redeemable quality of the GOP and I’ll retract my statement

This is such BS…We can’t see Trump’s tax returns, Jr.s aren’t relevant. Trump INSISTS that he is worth billions (and somehow this makes him ‘smart’) and they can’t pay their own damn legal bills? But…anyone that works or has worked for him can go bankrupt because they got to kiss his ring? HOW STUPID TO PEOPLE HAVE TO BE TO EVER GET MIXED UP WITH THIS GRIFTER? Lord.
