and when they fail, they will have handed a stockpile of ammunition to Hillary to convince wishy-washy independents.
There is not enough popcorn in the world for this.

There is not enough popcorn in the world for this.
One more time for emphasis: there are a third more self-described independents than Ds in this country. And whether people ādeserveā to be called Ds is really meaningless in a general election.
Oh stop acting like the GOP canāt come up with stuff all on their own. If she losses, sheās at fault (and all the shills who suppressed any debate about her electability).
While I agree with your sentiments, you acting as if you are an authority on who can be a Democrate is anything but helpful.
Not a problem. Just back Hillary.
The Republicans, howler monkey Cons and Baggerloons alike, created the Monster Trumpā¦but the media and its saturation coverage of every damned move he made 24/7 from the very beginning (often to the total exclusion of his opponents) gave it life.
Now they, and we, have to deal with it.

Our message to the voters from now until November.
@stoptrump
Here he comes. Time to show him whoās boss. Roadblock.
Thank you Daddyā¦you can go now. Weāve heard youā¦so you can STFU too.
Thank you for your substantive contribution to the conversation, Richard.
I admire a man whoās not afraid to be an insufferable buffoon in his senescence.
Ahhh you know meā¦all about me and my āsenescenceā. Where have we met? Dudeā¦you come across as trying to hard. You aint all that much. You use phrases like āestablishment Democratsā which leads one to think you donāt do your own thinking. You might also, while my senescent mind is making suggestions, try living in reality. HRC is not ābarely beating a 73 year old Socialistā. Sheās well ahead and going to win. I am not an HRC supporter or a Bernie supporterā¦Ill vote for either and either will win in 2016. But āmy friendā itās going to be HRC ( even if you imagined differently ) and Iād be glad to take my senescent mind in a debate against yoursā¦on that prediction right after the Democratic Convention.
But I suppose you can live in any fantasy you like. Sure you canā¦thatās the way delusion works.
No, you are right. I based my diagnosis purely on the āget-off-my-lawnā quality drone and irrelevant personal attacks that your posts often exhibit. I donāt know you at all beyond that.
And I am perfectly aware that HRC is going to be the nominee; thatās why I called the Ds idiots in the first place.
Not the least of which is TPM. āLive Wireā is wall to wall Trump.
They are all idiotsā¦millions of them because they donāt agree with you? Youāre the manā¦the only one with valid ideas? Amirite? And no you donāt know me at all. At all. Not a fucking thing. So you ādroneā on and on with your uniformed opinion my manā¦but you aint fooling anybody with your fucking troll shtick.
See, now look - youāre back at it again.
It says we can count. Bernie has a great message, but not enough votes to win.
What makes you so sure that everyone else is wrong, and you are the sole source of truth?
We can see whatās happening in the Democratic race. We love Bernieās message, and weāre glad heās moving the platform to the left. But as for his role in the revolution, heās a bomb-thrower, not a guy who gets things done. Hillary is a stodgy candidate and a warhawk, but sheās wonky and practical, and thatās what we need. Bernie has never suffered the onslaught of Republican dirty tricks and slander, while Hillaryās weathered that storm for decades. Bernie might poll well against Trump for now, but he and his pie-in-the-sky message would get squashed like a bug before November.
As for whether Hillary will defeat Bernie, yes she will. Even you see the handwriting on the wall.
I am not worried about the independents but the Bernie purity āDemocratsā.
Clemmers, there seems to be a cottage industry around these parts about arguing against something other than is posted. I have been aware of the numbers for quite some time. I am lamenting the fact that we are nominating a person whom I believe to be a very weak candidate. As far as my being right, just look at the Indiana results. I have never seen someone who has already become the presumptive nominee trashed like HRC was last night. Usually, people rally around the standard bearer. It is clear that a sizable portion of the electorate is not rallying around HRC, and I think itās ominous at this stage of the campaign. Hopefully, Trump doesnāt make a pivot to normalcy, or the appearance thereof, 'cos I donāt think HRC has what it takes to change her popularity, again, at this late stage.
I get your frustration. I wish we had a rock star candidate too. In reality, we look at the options and choose from among them. No candidate is perfect or beloved by all.
Bernieās unexpected success in this race will help the progressive movement. It gives voice to us lefties who have been brushed aside for too long. Sadly, I donāt think Bernie would win against Trump, and I think his vision is unworkable with a Republican Congress. So the compromise is to go with a candidate who can win and infuse the platform with progressive goals.
Lots of people hate Hillary. Some donāt even know why, although it has a lot to do with the steady onslaught of unfounded accusations and faux āscandalsā propped up by the RW media and Republican enemies. I disagree with some of her policies, and I think she has honed the art of being a pandering politician. All that pales before the prospect of a Trump presidency.
