Discussion: The GOP Hates People Pointing Out They Were Siding With Bundy

Yep, they told us that he was a great guy, true patriot, America should care about his plight. Thursday? “It’s not about Bundy!” Hannity and others tried to latch onto the territorial pissing contest in Texas to keep the hate alive, but the AG down there who’s sizing the governor’s mansion for drapes wants nothing to do with Bundy either.

I don’t think they’re honestly surprised that he’s a racist, I think they’re just angry that he didn’t use the proper code words.

Republicans have played the race card since Nixon in 1968. The same stuff said about Bundy now is exactly the same BS they uttered when David Duke and Pat Buchanan ran in the 1992 GOP primaries.

Did you notice this nugget from whiny Preston?

“So the same people … pretend that Jeremiah Wright doesn’t exist and that Barack Obama did not spend 20 years listening to the reverend’s racist rants.”

Preston, we didn’t make a celebrity our of Wright, or Bundy, you did! Your nihilist party created both of them. Bundy’s not just a flaming idiot and racist. He’s a taker, a cheat, a welfare queen, a seditionist, an insurrectionist, and an anti-environmentalist, whose livestock illegally tramples with his encouragement habitat of endangered desert tortoises. No Democrat ever called Wright a patriot, but your Senator Dean Heller called Bundy the scofflaw one, rather similar to your party’s Presidential hopefuls Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Rick Perry, and Huckabee too. You gave him his own TV channel and you own this, the whole package, like it or not. And yes it’s deeply shameful upon you, an no, not comparable to anything Democrats have done…

Cliven Bundy speaks on Sean Hannity’s show…The result:

Sean Hannity, et al early last week: “Cliven Bundy is a patriot who speaks to real America and America’s historical values.”

Cliven Bundy speaks and continues to speak…The result:

Sean Hannity, et al later in the week: "[Bundy’s] comments are beyond repugnant to me. They are beyond despicable to me. They are beyond ignorant to me.”

LMAO…Why Mr. InsHannity’…You and your ilk seem conflicted and, well, just plain batsh*tcrazy!

I doubt it will switch a single vote from GOP to Dem.
I wish it would, but don’t count of it.

It is truly sad that Republicans do not get that by rushing to Bundy’s defense when he was merely a government teat sucking crimina. Or as Krugman so aptly put it; a sage brush welfare queen, is that they now own him. He symbolizes a deeper problem with the ranks of Republican voters that the party created.

“They want to say that conservatives are racist. Conservatives hate women,” Hannity said Thursday. “Conservatives want old people to die, granny over the cliff. They want the young people to fend for themselves. They want to poison the air and poison the water.”
Nah Sean We jus’ found one of them thar recording machines and bin watchin’ reruns of yer old shows.
You make it too easy for comedy central what with writing their scripts and all for them.

Unfortunately you would lose that bet. He has been very limited in his political giving and what he has given has been to Democratic candidates, granted is was way back in 88. However the Republicans are all over this, as a see see see your hypocrites. What they are failing to see is that there’s ins’t a single liberal commentator or Democratic politician rushing to defend Sterling.

Didn’t he donate a small amount to the RNC in 2012?

I gave up schadenfreude for Lent. Happy Easter everybody!

The entire Republican intelligentsia, such as it is, is frantically scraping their shoe on the curb trying to clean off the dog shit that’s stuck in the corner above their right heel.

Since the monster they created with the Tea Party has caused them so much grief, you’d have thought they’d have learned by now to vet their heroes carefully. But extremists can always be counted on to overplay their hand and embarrass themselves in the end.

I’m not as pessimistic. There are independent voters who might have voted GOP who might feel put off by this entire escapade. Then again, there might be a few that are influenced to support them.

Hannity has finally discovered how normal people feel about him.

Cliven Bundy perfectly embodies today’s Repugnican Party. Add stupidity and ignorance with that special, irrational hate only Obamaphobes can feel while tweaking daily on your Fox News meth fix and the inevitable happens.
