Once again the Repuk’s prove that they are unable to govern

Yet upon their return from the midterm elections and wins it was said by both the House and especially the Senate leadership that now people would see leadership and government moving forward. Instead we see more of the same-o, same-o and/or backward movement.

LJB860, I am amazed that there is any movement at all. I’m thinking Congress is standing in hardened concrete.

Why we continue to put these guys into office is even more amazing and troubling. They’ve proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they really aren’t working for anybody, including themselves.

Because the lunatics are in charge of the asylum. But your correct we have to work harder to get them voted out.

Yeah…yeah

In other words: SSDD __The Right Wingnuttery’s owners, the 1% oligarchs, want unchecked economic and political power and their GOP stooges work tirelessly to give it to them. The Republicans will begin more culture wars and singing their mantra of ‘reducing’ government, because they want ‘smaller government’ for the same reason criminals want fewer cops.

The Republican Party exists on lies, hate and fear. They are morally and philosophically bankrupt and have nothing else to offer, and so their ‘agenda’ and actions upon return are as predictable as a sun rise.

These clowns have kicked more cans down the road than my garbage pickup company. And yet they wonder why POTUS and SCOTUS now essentially run the place.

I’ve been watching and taking note of the extraordinary sloth exhibited by the GOP controlled congress in their attempts at “legislation through rancor”, “strength through indignation” approach to governance. I think it is well within the realm of possibility that the Iran Agreement deadline passes without Congress having gotten to the point where a final vote gets taken. In with a bang, out with a whimper perhaps.

Should that happen, I would laugh and laugh and laugh… and then chuckle over a couple of glasses of Shiraz for the better part of an evening.

Obama cures cancer. Obama ends world hunger. Obama endorses guns in the womb. Obama ends taxes for everyone.

No. No. No. And no. Bad for 'Merica say the republicans.

Governance?! We don’t need no stinking governance!

Warning, nee nee nee nee, Congress has hit overload, abort mission, abort mission!

The Repubs can’t deal with one thing at a time, there isn’t a shot in hell that they will deal with all of this with any sort of skill. Their default mode is, shutdown-defund-obstruct and delay. They have trained themselves to react negatively even before they know why most of the time. When they hurt the government, it doesn’t hurt them so they don’t give a rat’s patoot.

The 3 am phone call to the Republicans comes from drunken conspiracy nuts and those are the only calls being responded to. Hey Senator, shut down the damned government and send over a twelve pack, we’re out of beer.

“I prefer to think about it as opportunities and pinch points,” Rep. Tom Price (R-GA)

What was once a matter of national responsibility and faithful obligation has morphed into this ? ?
Thanks GOP —

“Why we continue to put these Republican guys into office,” you mean. When the Democrats had some sort of control they actually got things done, despite one or two Libersmucks trying to derail everything.

They shoot horses, don’t they?

What you just posted sounds oddly, well, elitist.

Hopefully, you live in apart of the country where you can obtain some cans of Schlitz beer (if not, maybe some Pabst Blue Ribbon (a/k/a “PBR”). It’ll probably take a good number of cans to equal the glasses of Shiraz but you’ll obtain more satisfaction in knowing that you are a man of the people.

Or even a man. Shiraz?

I don’t always drink beer, but when I do, I drink Marten’s Witte or Pyramid Hefeweizen.

[And I live in Arizona where there are a number of very good microbreweries]

Que syrah, syrah.

Ommegang makes a great Witte and farmhouse Saison. Not sure if the brewery distributes in AZ.
