Discussion for article #236475
Whacko in Waco, and elsewhere in Tejas.
Guns (open carry or concealed) + Booze = One Super Fun Time!
If you are an innocent bystander, a gun on your hip turns you into an immediate threat. If the lawmakers succeed in passing this law, next time there won’t be any uninjured bystanders.
They also pulled an amendment that would have prohibited police from asking to see the license of a person carrying a weapon.
Welcome to the Brave New World the NRA has created. An America where gangs can freely roam with guns and where any incident can degenerate into a bloodbath. An America where any person with high capacity weapons can turn any location into a massacre, whether a movie house, work place, or elementary school. This article actually brought tears to my eyes. Have we had enough yet?
“Guns and alcohol just don’t mix.”
Pffffffff…this is TX we’re lamenting here: guns + alcohol = breakfast.
They most likely will go ahead and let gun nutz carry their AK47’s to WalMart and Twin Peaks; just because Texas voters demand and get a high level of stoopid from their representatives.
Meanwhile back at Waco, the cops have netted a couple hundred criminals engaged in organized crime. If they are prosecuted under racketeering statutes, their assets can be seized to keep them in jail until they are tried and sentenced to very long prison terms. A very big chunk of the gangs is in jail, and I will be happy to give the various law agencies credit for taking them off the street. The staff at the Supermax prisons will enjoy the challenge of housing these outlaws.
It just makes it moar safer to be drunk!!!1!

OCT is realizing it’s dream of being about to open carry anywhere and everywhere in Texas. I wonder if the bill includes the same restrictions as the CC law?
This is Texas. What other response is even imaginable?
This whole “biker massacre” was obviously a false flag Oboperation much like Sandy Hook. You notice they haven’t released the names of the “supposed” dead people. All shooting blanks, my friend, all a skit put on by the Liberal ATF and the Progressive FBI. If you breathe a word about what really happened, they don’t arrest you, you just disapp
They also respond to major fires in the area by shutting down the Fire Department and pouring gasoline over all buildings to “protect them from water damage”.
Reports I have read state that most of the bikers arrested for weapons violations HAD legal permits to conceal/carry because it’s ridiculously easy to get a permit in Texas.
Fucking lunatics.
As an Arizona resident, where we have possibly the laxest gun laws in the country, I am surprised that Texas with its western image doesn’t have an open carry law. here we only need to pass a background check to purchase and carry…just about anywhere including places where alcohol is served. Not a good idea by my standards but there it is. This past session a bill to allow guns in ANY public building was debated… luckily it failed.
Also we don’t need any permits or licenses to open carry. CC you only need to be 21…no permit needed.
Understand…I think AZ’s laws are WAAAYYY too lax.
as Texas proceeds to take over itself…
In the on-going battle between Texas and Florida about which state is most stupid, Texas shoots into the lead with this one.
Once Texas has open carry it is only a matter of time until they pass a purge bill providing at least one day a year when those open carried guns can be used to cull the Texas herd without fear of criminal action or reprisal.
The gangs were the Bandidos and Cossacks (of course) and obviously they were hoping to reach Branch Davidian levels of fatalities.
Didn’t realize Texas actually did believe in Darwinism, they just prefer firearms to illness to kill off the excess.
The hearing came a day after two biker gangs took part in a shootout at
Twin Peaks restaurant, which left nine dead and more than a dozen
wounded, the Associated Press reported on Monday. About 170 bikers were taken into custody after the shooting.
Open carry will make drawing your gun quicker and more convenient. No more fumbling around for a gun concealed inside your shirt or jacket. I’m sure the bikers are behind this bill 100%.
