Texas is ignorant about many things, this is just one.
"Donāt know nothinā 'bout hist-o-ry⦠"
Cruz: This is an excellent idea. If I fail to become POTUS, I would become first President of Texas as I already won there; I am POT already.
Bu-buy, now!
Take OK with you. and FL, WI, MI, MS, NC and KS.
Great, the Party of Lincoln is now the Party of Secession.
Oh, happy day!! Texas, we in California are with you!! Go in Peace!
Why wait for them to secede? Canāt the rest of us vote them off the island pre-emptively?
Things are different now. There are lots of people who would gladly bid Texas farewell.
I wonder which state Cruz would immigrate to then.
The poor guyāll have a conniption if he canāt be in Washington.
Donāt let the door it you on your way out.
GO GO GO GO GO! And take the rest of the āantebellum southā with you - except we get to keep New Orleans and Miami.
Whether or not something actually works out is totally unimportant to the modern Republican party. Look at supply-side economics and then look at Kansas. Youād think that would give them pause, but they are champing at the bit to take it nationalā¦
Maybe we could have like a Berlin air lift. Fly in Bruce Springsteen from time to time.
Oh, be still my racing hart!
Great Idea! Iād say let them go, we can make DC or Puerto Rico a state and give them their senate seats.
Oh Texans.
You are such teases!
Just by ridding ourselves of Ted Cruz this Idea is worth exploring. It will be bad for the Mexicans, will need to direct their aggression somewhere, but they are big boys they should take care of themselves.
They simply have no idea what theyāre getting into. The union, not individual states, made our nation great, and independence would mean nothing but total failure for Texas, which joined the USA in the first place because it crashed as a republic. Secession would crush Texas economically ⦠no Civil War necessary to bring my home state to its knees begging for forgiveness.
Texas can go, but the United States lays claim to all of Austin proper. It will serve as the U.S. Embassy.
