I’m having a difficult time understanding how the two situations are similar. If a female police officer goes to work, she understands that in the course of her job she may be assaulted or killed due to the duties of her position. So conversely that also means it should be totally fine for her husband to punch her in the face at a restaurant, because equality? Should women be allowed to beat their husbands if they’re combat veterans? I’m baffled. I sincerely hope he isn’t married, because he seems to be a little too sympathetic to Ray Rice.

Good point, Ohio Police Union head said that the Cleveland Browns football player who wore the shirt supporting the 15 year old child shot at a park and the young man slaughtered in Walmart, that the football player had disrespected the police which sounds like something an immature teenager says. In fact, it is something an immature teenager would say.

The essence of sexism, racism, or other discrimination is to lump all the people that fit a category together, and act as if they’re a single entity. And so when one women says something, it automatically binds all other women to whatever the first one said. So if one doesn’t want her door opened and another one does, that’s considered contradictory, because “women” can only want one thing.
And if a black guy commits a crime, it’s up to all other black people to denounce it every time, or else they implicitly support it. Because again, they’re all part of a single group and act/think/talk alike…except for the “good ones” who have proven themselves to be worthy to be treated like white people. And to be a “good” black person means you never ever suggest that white people are ever racist, because that automatically puts you in the bad group with the rest of them.
But if you try this with them, they’ll reject it entirely. They understand that they’re individuals and aren’t responsible for what other people of their skin color or gender do, and they’ll act confused or angry if you even attempt to treat them as if all white men are the same. And the trick for us is just to get them to understand that that’s how things are far everyone else. It’s all about teaching empathy, so people can understand that all those scary people out there aren’t a separate species from them, and deserve the same treatment as everyone else.
