That fucking piece of shit of an “authority figure” did not “ask [those two boys] to sit down on the grass”.
He yelled and screamed that they were supposed to get their asses over there.
He also threatened the young girl with arrest if she “did not knock it off”, this while he is pressing her face into the grass.
What’s she supposed to stop doing, breathing? He obviously assaulted her.

Seriously, it takes a lot of self control and confidence to be a police officer. You’ve got to let a lot wash off your back. This guy thinks he can point a flashlight at people like a gun, and then point a gun like a gun, and threaten to arrest everyone if they don’t listen. When you’re completely outnumbered you have to figure out better tactics than that.

Sounds like serious charges. Luckily the cops were there, otherwise the interference would have gone unpunished.

Uhm…It’s a community pool. Everyone can go there.

I don’t know either way, but if it is one related to a Home Owners’ Association or if it is a gated community, it would not be a “community” pool as in “public” pool, regardless of the name they call it.
That stated, if it really is a taxpayer-funded pool, then all those within that municipality’s borders should be welcome.

The whole situation seemed relatively calm. It only seems to escalate when the cop goes looking for a fight.

He said three officers responded after residents and a private security officer called police to complain that several teenagers did not have permission to use the pool and had refused to leave. Several people complained that the teenagers had started fighting.
The homeowners association limits pool use to Craig Ranch residents and two guests per household.

Obviously, this cop went way overboard and, if true, the racist comments did nothing but to escalate the situation. However, the folks who were not really invited should have just picked up their towels and left when requested to do so. It will be interesting to see view the results of the investigation. It might also be helpful to know what is on the security’s video.

This will probably get whitewashed (pun intended). But this asshat needs to lose his job, or at a minimum a desk job w/o a gun. What threat is there from a kid in a bikini? This guy lost his temper and is a control freak.
But this is just my opinion. I’m cynical in these situations.

Morning, darrtown. Maybe because I’m much older now but I agree with your sentiment here. That said, I would still like to examine all possible evidence before making a final judgment on any of this.
