Discussion: Texas Cop On Leave After Confrontation With Teens At Pool Party (VIDEO)

I’m going on the basis of what I saw in the video yesterday on CNN. The man lost it. Nibody should wave a gun like he did.
Oh, and mornin’ back at’cha

That would imply that, in Texas, they did something wrong.

…and then he’ll get a job as a private security guard at a school.

A fresh Texan disgrace has become a regular companion to my morning cup of coffee…Go away, Texas.

I really want some news folks to show up at the white women’s houses and ask them on-camera questions about their behavior. Clearly, the cops aren’t going to do anything other than abuse black teenagers. A little public shaming of racist asshats is due.

Same old same old. Watch this video or any of the others and you see the same thing. A hostile, angry and out of control Cop going berserk over a petty situation. His job is to deescalate situations but he’s so pathologically unfit for his job he escalates a pool party squabble to a hostile, gun drawn baton drawn, melee of violence and deadly threat. To say this Cop overreacted would be the understatement of the day. But why?

Huff has a pretty good bit on this as does Digby. It seems the Black kids went to a graduation pool party, on invitation, to a pool that’s usually used by Whites. Once there they got what Blacks often get: singled out for crude comment based on their race. From what can be told it was adults, not kids, that threw the racial insults. That led to a fight and “tub of guts” in the shorts called in the heat. By the time the Cops got there no fight was in progress so really they had no biz there.

It’s hard to believe if this was an all White thing it would have been treated by the Cops the way it was. If you’ve been around a lot of Cop Crap ( I have ) you’ll wonder why Tub of Guts was given free roam to enjoy his creation. Usually, once the joint becomes a police zone of operation everyone, including “security” folks are asked to move back. But the fat ass is allowed to roam around and make contact with the kids…Cops present.

And now that town has the law suits to fool with and a wrestle with its conscience. Video of its police officers using the foulest language when talking to kids is all over the world. And what town wants the world to see what its"finest" did to that young girl?

That’s usually the case. When police get involved the escalation only goes one way: up. De-escalation is not macho at all and as such is not an option.

“Don’t make me [expletive] run around here with 30 [expletive] pounds of gear on in the sun ’cause you want to screw around out here,” Casebolt tells two teenagers he orders to sit on the grass.

He was angry because his equipment was weighing him down.

he did provide a Hollywood worthy barrel roll stunt upon entering the scene though. his camera awareness may be helpful in his new career.

Last night I read some facebook postings from local residents who said that a guy, and they named him, had several homes in the area that he rents out to black people. They weren’t happy about that, especially when they invite more or ‘those’ people over.

Eons ago I met a guy who had just graduated from the police academy. When asked how it felt,he replied that he thought being a bus driver was great but being a cop was fantastic. I guess he figured it let him do a lot more than ordering passengers to move to the back of the bus. No surprise that he later was involved in a beating of a defenseless man. It is a handful of authoritarian police that need to be rehabilitated or removed.i

I read where it was NOT a community pool, but someone who was a member gave the other kids passes to attend. So, they were all allowed to be there.

It may be a pool for community members only, but many people who live in that community are not only white. You really should watch this video over at Rawstory:

Video :

According to Dallas newspaper, a member can only have 2 guests. The lawsuits will be interesting. Not only the suits against the McKinney police, but the HOA suit against the person who was handing out passes.

And McKinney TX-- is another of those suburban townships littered about north of Dallas that we’ve been hearing more and more about in the news recently regarding public displays of racism-- to include:
Grapevine, Coppell, Highland Park, Flower Mound.

This is Ted Cruz and Rick Perry territory-- Evangelical and RWNJ-rich districts.

About once a month-- for about 6 months now-- I’ve reiterated this style of post-- with an expectation that we’ll be hearing more of this behavior from White-entitled North Dallas enclaves.

Today’s post seems to be right on schedule.

The kids were leaving. The kids acted like kids everywhere when a party gets out of hand. The girl in question was leaving, too. The one cop in particular was just insane.

The kid videotaping said he was ignored…I wonder why he wasn’t thrown to the ground?

Can you link to these? My blood pressure needs to be upped.

If you feel like being enraged, the spin they put on this will do that.

I can’t stomach the idiots that are all about government overreach this, overreach that, freedom!!!, no tyranny, be completely fine with abuse of “others”.

Ugh.

You’re right - it’s the “exurbs” were derpery is prevalent. The close-in wealthy neighborhoods are fiscally conservative, socially liberal. The rural areas are old fashioned Goldwater “leave me alone” conservative. When you get into the outer suburbs, however, you get far North Dallas, The Woodlands, Kingwood, Pearland, Sugar Land (Houston), Williamson County (Austin), etc. etc.
