I think everyone needs to remember he didn’t do this alone. He was with three other kids who were allegedly bullied by their victim. Does no one remember the incredible peer pressure from this age, especially among kids that are bullied regularly. If the four of them hadn’t been together, kids like this often times end up committing suicide because they can’t take the bullying. Instead, we got this tragedy. This crime is not the sign of a psychopath or the sign of some cold-blooded criminal likely to act out again. This is the sign of a group of unstable kids, who through self-reinforcement and peer pressure, ended up going way further than I imagine any of them were comfortable with. I’m hearing a lot of old testement crap being thrown out there on these comment boards, and absolutely no thought at all being given to what could have caused a tragedy like this to occur. Honestly, it has a lot of the maturity of the Fox News commenters who are blaming the Ferguson protestors without even looking at why they are protesting. Quite honestly, the kid’s social support net, and society in general, failed him. And now he pays the price for our failure.
