I hope this is /snark?
No one is asking for him to “live in your home”, right? Just not adult prison.

That is the picture of the perp.
The kid isn’t evil. If he really was bullied by the victim, I can even understand where the desire to do such a thing could come from. Most of us have the self control not to do something like this, but among those of us who were bullied as a kid, who hasn’t imagined getting revenge on the bully? Throw in a bit of drugs, some adolescent piss-poor decision making, and a whole lot of self-reinforcing peer pressure from the group of four bullied kids, and not only is it understandable they felt this way, it isn’t even particularly surprising it happened. If I were on that jury, jail time for all of them, but three - five years sentence.
I think it is now too. The haircut threw me off, as I saw another site with a picture of Dustyn who looks nothing like the perp.
My bad.
Yeah, if they’d just shot the guy. they all would have walked.
His point is TPM never puts captions on images as unprofessional as that may be, and that leads us to guess who is in photos if you do not know the person by sight or use another website for reference.
Why TPM can’t figure out how to caption a photo is beyond me.
Victim is NOT pictured. Pictured is Blue Kalmbach, one of the perpetrators. From the article, they won’t even release the name of mother for fear of identifying the victim.
He should be locked away for life (lifelong psychiatry treatments). It takes a real cold heart to do what he did.
We don’t need people like this roaming society. When he’s released I hope they’ll monitor him very carefully.
I absolutely agree!!!
Oh, golly gee. This story has me musing about my own schoolboy hijinks.
–Willard M. Romney
No problemo. Would be a lot easier if we didn’t have to click on other articles for the most basic information in some articles.
I think that they do it intentionally for liability reasons. Identifying images in photos would require editors to actually review the articles and “fact check” the captions. Though I am a regular reader, it is clear that there is virtually no editorial oversight. If they get it wrong, then they would have to deal with the consequences - whatever they are. If they are silent, then there is nothing more to say. Not saying it is the correct way to do it, just my thoughts on why they might continue in this poor practice.
The sentence seems a bit harsh. Who among us has never forcibly cut a swastika into someone’s forehead? Kids will be kids, you know.
On the other hand, that stiff sentence is fully warranted by that haircut.
Glad to see you got your keyboard fixed, Ghost.
I almost flagged this but instead I’m going to publicly put out there I think this is inappropriate. I’ve seen your posts enough to know you aren’t a RW troll but this does sound like something I’d expect from one of them.
Let’s be blunt, you are suggesting someone should kill a probably mentally disturbed KID. In what world is that the right thing to do? Sure sounds like he needs to be in a mental institution, but I don’t have the complete answer. I am human enough to rule out your answer. You should be embarrassed.
It seems the AP identifies him as the Cheneyizer in this scenario.
I guess we can call that a “reverse mullet,” the stylistic choice of all young psychopaths.
Yeah, same kid – without the reverse mullet.
Yeah – we can only imagine what a young Mitt Romney would have done to this perp if he attended his prep school with that axe-murderer haircut…
Hey, in a few years, he can run for President on the Republican ticket!
