I wonder if Cruz is still delusional enough to think that he’s going to become god-emperor of America as his dad anointed him to be, as part of his dad’s plan to destroy the world to summon Jesus.

Yeah, probably, huh?

I can’t help but feel a joyful little spring in my step today when the venal, vile, vindictive Ted responds with such tone-deaf attention seeking desperation.

Go Beto go!

I think the following is what should the focus as far as Cruz’s response is concerned (I’m surprised the TPM article doesn’t mention it). From the New Republic:

"As legal scholars on Twitter pointed out, in 2015 Cruz authored an article titled “The Obama Administration’s Unprecedented Lawlessness” for The Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. In that article, Cruz wrote extensively about the powers of presidential pardon, arguing for a limited view of presidential authority.

Footnote 79 is especially relevant to current debates. “The pardon power was not seen as suspension or dispensation,” Cruz argued. “The pardon power carries a scope specifically limited to crimes already committed. The pardon may not apply to acts that have not yet been committed, because it would function as a personal waiver, the impermissible dispensation of the laws.” It is hard to square these words with Trump’s expansive view of presidential power."

It would be a very simple answer if it was Obama or Hillary…Cruz is not meeting his sworn oath of office to uphold and defend the US Constitution. In fact, all the Republican enablers are failing on meeting their basic constitutional duties.

For Cruz to dodge the issue is gross negligence of his sworn oath…IMPEACH ass hole Cruz.

Why in the world would Cruz go to the mattresses for a guy who repeatedly called Cruz a liar during the campaign, denigrated Cruz’s wife, and essentially said Cruz’s father helped murder President Kennedy?

Man up Ted – shame, shame, shame.

“Try it again, Senator, but this time imagine it was President Obama or Hillary Clinton. If you need to look at some porn first we’ll give you a moment to yourself.”

Based on Ted Cruz’s strict reading of the Pardon text in the Constitution, it says nothing about the powers being retrospective or being constrained only to only specific persons. He appears to be committing the same offense that many of those who argue self-pardons aren’t allowed: inferring things about the text based on interpretation of U.S. legal history and intent.

Well, he only would if it was a used mattress from a T* Hotel…

Teddy, how bruised are your knees these days? Also, I hope you’ve convinced Donnie to use a condom, because you can get STDs through oral contact.

I’m so ashamed! Cruz has shown me the error of my ways! I’ll never say, write, or read mean things about the POTUS again!
Wait…Cruz is despicable and is using the Constitution as toilet paper.
Let 's wait until he starts doing his job and then we’ll consider if we want to even listen to anything he has to say.

How can Texans, who like to play the big, bold, brash card, elect such a limp dick?

Cruz was like Peter denying Jesus. Cruz is deathly afraid of Trump. As much as we find to dislike in Ted’s policies and demeanor, that is not a good thing.

Ted…Ted. That was the smartest 18 seconds of your life, and you had to go ahead and ruin it.

So he had studied it. Wow! Cruz lies even when he’s silent.

Ted is seeing the Tea Party and thus himself rapidly losing power and relevance and is trying to find what new position will keep elected going forward. Until he finds it, expect more mealy-mouthed explanations that don’t really say much of anything. Please Texas, just vote him out.

Cruz: “That is not a constitutional issue I’ve studied so I will withhold judgement at this point.”
Believe me it’s not something Trump has studied either much less understands.
