Discussion for article #235338
I think my head is going to explode.
This is exactly why you donât budge. One inch.
Iâm not sure I want this guy on our team.
Lots of people get to own their own business or retire early thanks to Obamacare. Those who are ill and canât work any longer or work just part time, can breathe easier now. Imagine not having to stay at a job you hate for the health insurance.
His arteries insist.
The Democrats should have been plastering the media with ads about just these kinds of cases before the 2014 election.
Better hurry up if you donât want Mr. Creosote there to steal your thunder.
I agree, but I will point out that many progressives have vowed never to financially support Democrats because they feel they are insufficiently vigorous in making the liberal case, and then at the same time bemoaning the fact that the airwaves arenât plastered with liberal messaging like the Koch brothers have done.
I donât think we can have it both ways. If we want more democrats on the TV, we need to pitch in.
I donât buy this ad for one second
Yawn. If you ask me,heâs seems to be trying, poorly, to snark that the ACA has encouraged all sorts of people to just drop out of the job market, retire early and live the mooching lifeâŚnot to mention the rather obvious overtone of âthe Dems are âbuyingâ votes with giveawaysâ etc.
This is really just excellent.
Of course, the black guy wonât be in the White House any more. I imagine, and I say this regretfully, that the anger is going to suddenly subside, even if the next Oval Office occupant is a woman.
Not for everyone, but certainly for some. Gotta make sure they get to the polls. I canât imagine what any republican candidate will say about health care that will reassure them. Theyâve all had plenty of time to come up with something, anything to replace it.
Good grief. Republicans have said more than enough to convince women, minorities, the poor, and the LGBT community that theyâre just not âinto them.â
If the Democrats want to take 10% more of the white vote they will be sure to come out strongly in support of the 2nd amendment. Its going to be a long while before this topic settles down to the point where bipartisan legislation can be passed regarding sensible gun control.
In the meantime Democrats are bleeding at the polls across the vastness of rural America where nearly everyone keeps a gun handy. A major reason for this is the meme that Democrats want to take all the guns and this is something that can often be seen at the TPM forum.
The Tea Partier in question here is primarily a gun rights advocate but he has another aca post:
Well, he did say, âmay.â
Iâm an optimist. Why? Not sure. However, if people are better off than they were during the Bush years and are worried about republican policies, then they may surprise us.
I agree. It feels phony.
Martin is right. Since when did Mr. Creosote become a Teabagger?
Nope. Read the comments (first time anyone has ever said this about Youtube!)
The guy is sincerely switching parties.
Iâm skeptical myself. He is saying, essentially, that ObamaCare lets him loaf at home and pays him to play (at the gyn). That is the message that the GOP will turn into another âwelfare queen/kingâ meme.
I donât know ⌠this guy can get some folks to listen to his reasoning and questioning of a life-long association with the GOP and maybe nod along a bit with âWhich party has helped me out the most in the last, I donât know, 15 years? Twenty?â
Those same folks who may listen to him wouldnât give any one of us the time of day if we tried to say the same thing.
However often he goes to the gym to
swim, you know, lift a little weights, do some little walking, run track, stuff."
courtesy of the Democrat party, he ought to do more of it, and pushing off from the all-you-can buffet would help enormously
