When I lived in Boston there was this lady who was often on the same train as me in the morning. She clearly had struggles but was mostly quiet except every once in a while she would go on this tirade where this stream of racist epithets would come spewing out of her mouth. She’s who I think of when I see comments like this from people like King. I have this feeling they want to just go on a tirade and tell everyone all the racist things they want to say, but know would get them in trouble, so they kind of poke at it from different angles. I take glee in thinking that what having to hold it all in may give people like him ulcers.

So I am supposed to believe that a cartel capable of moving tons of drugs into the United states could not use the same methods to get their money out. Somehow I don’t see Western Union as an easy way to move billions of dollars, when every transaction over a certain size is monitored and reported to the Feds. But that’s okay. When right-wingers make these kinds of statements, they are not intended for critical listeners…just for the Fox crowd, who will believe any story if it has a brown person as the bad guy.
