Discussion: State Spox Nuaert: 'I Withdraw My Name From Consideration' For UN Ambassador

All of Drump’s nominees for whatever position are tainted somehow.

Serious lack of experience hasn’t prevented anyone from being nominated for any position (I heart Trump out loud = the only req.), so my guess - given the timing - is the nanny issue is the one that snagged this up.

Of course it is possible that after watching Pence in Poland, and the President declare a National Emergency, that she pulled out and used the nanny excuse as the reason. I mean, seriously, do we think that no other appointee has employed an illegal nanny or other worker - like Trump? That is so… 1990s as a dis-qualifier for high office. Or so it seems.

Nauert’s impending nomination had been considered a tough sell in the Senate, where she would have faced tough questions about her relative lack of foreign policy experience, according to congressional aides.

I mean, in all fairness, foreign policy experience and expertise is sort of a below-the-fold qualification for… oh, UN ambassador. Oh.

This is s sad day for America.

Without someone like her monitoring the UN from within, the UN will soon have all our guns and will melt them down to make the bicycles it will force us all to ride.

Do you remember the Republican politician during the W years who kept the illegal alien captive for years? She served as a nanny basically for room and board and was never allowed to leave the house.

If you can’t understand and get the nanny hiring right, how could this person possibly be the UN Ambassador? Oh, I know, don’t really need to understand how things work, just learn on the job as tRump has not.

The nanny’s name was Colin Powell, but I don’t remember the name of the employer.

Blackfacing at FOX or college, most likely.

I wonder what in “the past two months have been grueling for my family"?

The guy that hired her had half the population of a Costa Rican town working on his golf courses.

LOL

More likely some soul-searching on the part of Ms. Nuaert, given course of the S.S. Trumptanic, headed towards that iceberg . . .

You mean to tell me Fox and Friends is not the proving ground of foreign policy experience that we’ve all been made to believe? Well then, I’m stunned.

If her only problem was that her nanny was here without a work visa, I could probably deal with that, but what’s really disturbing is that she never had any business being in government to begin with.

Woo hoo! I’m game

Couldn’t pass the background check? They check out the family and friends, too. Maybe that is what was grueling.

The endless sessions with the Country, or Continent? deck of flashcards, to prepare her for the UN position.

Underqualified? Nah.
She just equated D-Day with our “very long history with the government of Germany” and was USoState 4th in line until Oct 2018.
Wonder if she is still employed at State despite breaking the law at least twice?

have they had to go to the foodbank because she went without 2 paychecks? Have they had to cut down on her husband’s medication because they couldn’t afford doctor’s fees?
Grueling in the sense that the SUV 's heated seats wouldn’t start up right away when they made their starbuck’s run? that kind of grueling?

It is easy to understand why this has been grueling for her family. I mean – considering employment with the Trump administration could severely limit her ability to find employment elsewhere.

Like forever.
