Good for him. He shouldn’t and I thank heaven he’s not going to.

Alex Jones is dedicating a special broadcast to exploration of the revelations.

O for fuck’s sake - of course he should not resign. He isn’t a sexual predator he’s a former comedian who made a bad joke.

Dude - if I believed in time travel I would have believed John Titer.

Seems however his time schedule for what was supposed to happen wasn’t accurate since Europe was supposed to nuke us in 2012.

He forgot that Hill/Bill will still be under investigation.

Talking of Franken resigning is absurd. Context, folks, does matter.

Here is a video from that USO tour. There was a lot of bawdy behavior going on and Leeann Tweeden seems to do more than her share of it. It is easy to see that the photo was a joke gone awry and the thought that Tweeden was traumatized for the past 11 years because of it is absurd.

What if on a flight before the photo was taken Al Franken fell asleep and woke up to find that Tweeden had drawn a penis on his forehead. I would imagine she has done that to several people in the past so the idea doesn’t seem like a stretch. Would that change your perception on this? If so, then STFU and wait for things to play out.

Should he run again, though? Imagine that awful awful awful picture on every single freeway billboard in Minnesota for eight months. It’s early yet, but just as a practical matter I can’t help but think he should be looking to pass the torch.

Ok this is absurd.

Do you remember David Letterman’s woman problem? Does anyone any more? He had affairs with women who worked for him but they wouldn’t say anything bad about him because Letterman is a decent human being. So is Al Franken. I don’t care what they say and I don’t think by the time he runs again anyone else will either.

Leeann Tweeden who is a Republican, and who works as a Radio Host on a Conservative radio station took what was a SNL script and turned it into some type of a sexual abuse preformed on her could be nothing further from the truth. Republicans needed something to come back at Democrats with, so they took this lame story and had her embellish the story to make it sound worse than what really happen. Al Franken is right not to resign, do you think any Republican would give it even one second of thought to resign, no way in Hell. Who should really be examine is who put Leeann Tweeden up to coming out with this embellished story in the first place.

Word! I do not have to believe every single woman who accuses a man - that way lies Tawana Brawley.

Amen! Don’t resign. You are an invaluable member of the Senate and should remain so. These charges smell.

That would scramble traffic on the crosstown even worse than it is now!

The photograph, of course, is nonsense. Who tries to grope the breasts of someone who’s wearing a flak jacket? And who brings along a photographer to document his “sexual assault?” This is just a comedian striking a pose for a “funny” picture. It may have fallen flat, but sexual assault, it ain’t.

The unwanted kiss? Who knows? Inappropriate, but unless we start hearing similar stories from a bunch of other women, it sounds like a one-off poor choice. And at the time, Franken was hardly some sort of entertainment powerhouse, someone whom one didn’t dare cross, nor was he a powerful political figure. He was doing USO tours, FFS.

The real kicker, however, is that Infowars and Roger Stone seemed to know about these allegations before they were made public. Who’d like to explain that?

Has he also devoted a special broadcast to explore the revelations against Roy Gropey McGroper Moore?

I’m so funny.

Women colleagues from his SNL days -Jane Curtin and Victoria Jackson- have issued statements of support for him. Former women staffers of his have issued a statement of support for him. There is no reason for him to resign. The ethics investigation should proceed as he requested.

And Leeann her very own self agrees with that:

“I think Al Franken does a lot of good things in the Senate,

Stay right where you are, Senator.

That speaks volumes, given what a right-wing loon she is. If even she is defending him, I’d say he’s golden.

I never thought much about Al Franken. To be honest he kind of annoys me because he has become a darling of the left simply because he tosses out zingers during congressional hearings. But the way he has handled this situation shows a genuine decency.

This story was really a poorly thought out hatched job as any sort of investigation will reveal. Leeann Tweeden is not the type of person who gets upset at a bawdy joke. She has thicker skin than an elephant and chunks of guys in her stool that are bigger than Al Franken. The #MeToo movement got trolled here.

Rather than attack his accuser like all the other guys, though, he chose to take the high road. While he seems to be the only guy who could call BS on the allegations, he is also the only one so far who apologized and treated his accuser in a respectful manner. Punishing that response would set a really bad precedent.
