I have worked together with many Iranians, there is something like 6 large etnic groups, so they are pretty diverse…
The only “growing Republican chorus” is the one desperately trying to change the narrative of GOP racism and defense of the Confederate Battle Flag.

This treaty runs directly counter to the GOP narrative being used to increase defense spending. Not to mention that it reduces the defense industries confidence that the GOP can win the WH and in turn invade Iran.

Speaker Boehner would rather have thousands if not tens of thousands of American lives lost and trillions once more wasted on War. Because without a Nuclear arms deal, war would be the only option left to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

The oil is a good point, actually. When Iran’s oil hits the open market, it’ll further saturate an already glutted market causing greater strain on Russia and other countries relying on oil money.

Let’s look at this from a reality-based viewpoint. Next week, the UN Security council will pass a resolution lifting sanctions, provided Iran takes the agreed-upon actions. That’s a done deal. Now suppose Congress nixes the deal by a veto-proof margin. What impact would that have? None. Zero. Nada (as Donald Trump would put it). Because all Congress has control of are US sanctions and Iran has never had much trade with the US. look at a map-they’re in Asia. They will sell oil to China, Japan and India and buy what they need, military and civilian, from Russia and China, So, Boehner’s views are of no real consequence.

Is it me or does it seem like Obama and the republicans are talking about a completely different deal with the Iranians?
Per Obama, it shuts down the Iranians efforts to make nuclear weapons, per the Republicans it hands them nuclear weapons. I wonder which group has read the deal…hummmm…
It be nice to sit both groups down and ask them to point out specifics in the deal they are talking about. Wonder which group would actually be able to put their finger on what they claim is in there…ha ha just kidding…
