Discussion: Shepard Smith Laughs When Talking Carson's Pyramid Theory (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #242566

Everyone knows Faux News has been infiltrated by secular progressives and can’t be trusted.

As laughably wrong as Carson’s kook-theory about the pyramids are, what is troubling is that this really speaks to how this loon’s mind works. That he is the GOP front-runner and this will likely not kill off his support is the true horror of our current state of politics.

When you have a sizable segment of the population that embraces willful ignorance, wearing it like a badge of courage and some sort of tribal shibboleth, and who view facts and reality as the enemy, we have a serious threat to the experiment in self governance that is the American project.

Are we approaching peak Carson?

He may actually have some impairment. There have been fairly credible rumors that he was forced out of Hopkins. Perhaps it had to do with mental status.

“That is decidedly not true. But that’s not stopping Dr. Carson.”

And Ben Carson is decidedly not sane, but that’s not stopping the GOP/Teatrolls.

The man is obviously medicated. The number of psychologists and psychiatrists I keep running into on the Internet pointedly saying that they can’t say that because it’s unethical to diagnose people remotely is stunning.

My first gut feeling was that it was mental status but I have also seen theories that he wouldn’t stop preaching on the job, which I also find extremely possible.

If Carson isn’t medicated, I’m not posting this comment.

It’s like the day someone sat down and did the math on Niinnnne-Niinnnne-Niinnnne and found it didn’t add up to anywhere close to 27…

Yeah, I read earlier today that, when challenged on his belief, he said something along the lines of, “What do you mean it’s not true? It’s in the Bible!”

Meh. Carson is bumping around between 20-25% of the GOP primary voters. The GOP makes up roughly 40% of the population, (primary voters being a smaller subset of that). So we are talking about 8-10% of the population at best…probably closer to 5-6%. That’s really not something to declare the end of the American Experiment over.

And his boom and bust run is about to start down the bust side. There are still 3 months till Iowa, and I think he has crossed one too many crazy bridges for even the GOP to continue to get behind…or stand out of the way of. Look for more of things like this and the WSJ editorial to keep coming.

LOL…reminds me of when Axelrod repeatedly made a very public point about how he was NOT going to call Mittens “weird” hahaha

Ben Carson has certainly achieved professional prominence as a neurosurgeon, but one has to wonder about his mental stability by all of his bizarre statements. Being highly educated and skilled does not make one immune from medical maladies that are problematic.

Ben Carson wants access to nuclear weapons…

I wonder, sometimes, if this doctor tried to heal himself. And took a wrong turn with the scalpel.

And we’re laughing, but it’s also really serious. It’s really necessary and completely appropriate at this point for someone to just flat out ask him, whether in a debate or an interview "sir, many people have observed your affect and there is rampant speculation that you’re on psychoactive drugs or a medication that impacts you mentally. So I ask you, here and now, tell us honestly, and let’s put the issue to rest: what medications, if any, are you taking and what medications have been prescribed for you?

And he, along with the rest in the Kooky Klown Kar, just get worse and worse. It makes me wonder: Is there a designation below “lowest common denominator?”

That’ll never happen, Steve. Because, you know, ratings.

I do think we’ll see more efforts from their side to take him down fast.* However, I can’t help but notice that the math you’re setting out sounds remarkably like a description of the Republican Iowa Caucuses.

*Quite possibly acting based on leaked medical information about him from other candidate oppo shops they don’t want to or can’t use because of HIPAA liability concerns. (Pure speculation, of course).
