I wonder how many of them have law degrees? Not that that’s an important consideration.
This is ridiculous. US attorneys are routinely replaced at the start of each administration. Trump is doing nothing unusual or peculiar. Let’s keep our heads, folks.
So “critical” but yet it took so long to get started on it. Were they asking for a loyalty oath to protect Trump from prosecution?
Right ! …
(ha ha hahahaha … good one nick - –
First … they need to find out if they can swim …
or at the least … tread swamp —
Are there enough graduates from the law schools at Trinity, Regent and Liberty who have actually passed a bar exam to fill 17 vacancies?
Sessions: “It is critical to have U.S. Attorneys in place during this time of rising violent crime, a staggering increase in homicides…” Sessions’ FBI: “Murder rate is at a 33-year low; violent crime at a 21-year low.”
Management 101 hint to Trump org: don’t fire a slew of key employees until you have replacements to immediately take their place. Or at least a list of potentials. Or a plan to move forward. Or an inkling of what you are doing.
Ah, screw it.
This is a line they’ve trotted out a couple of times now. Does anyone know if it’s based off of anything (no matter how bogus) or is it just purely invented out of whole cloth?
I believe it is b) purely invented out of whole cloth racism.
Were I to give the KKKebler Elf any benefit of the doubt, he could mean the opiod crisis when talking about “unprecedented drug crisis.” But I’d still bet the house on “Beauregard Sessions is just racist.”
I thought it was time to put away elf on the shelf this season?
First … they need to find out if they can swim …
“And what also floats?”
“A duck!"
“Who are you who is wise in the ways of Science?”
Sorry, it’s just been a truly Monthly Pythonesque kind of day…
Although clearly tardy, the vetting process will be admirably simple: (a) are you loyal to #45 and (b) can you meet the minimum qualifications of that office or a plausible facsimile thereof.
Note that “interim” no longer means anything: after the Patriot Act tenure is pretty much at the pleasure of the POTUS and his AG; e.g., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Attorney
It’s not the start of the administration anymore; these positions have been vacant for almost a year, and he still hasn’t nominated anyone permanent for them. That’s unusual.
Also, it’s routine to replace many of the US attorneys. When you tell a bunch of them to stay on (which is common), and then fire them two months later, that’s pretty peculiar. Especially when one of them might be the one looking into your criminal activities.
I thought it was time to put away elf on the shelf this season?
We will, we will,soon, I hope…
Discussion: The Poison Dwarf Names 17 Interim US Attys To Replace Forced Out Obama Appointees
Just more GOP forked-tongue doublespeak. “That was yesterday, this is today.” They count on the rubes having short memories.
Astounding how shitty everyone in the current administration from Donald on down are at doing their jobs. Consistent, yes, worth a damn, not one fucking bit.
