When has he ever lied to usā¦
Oh Waitā¦
accept a loose promise from him to bring a bill to the floor
I remember when I was younger guys would say, sure honey, Iāll respect you in the morning.
Thereās nothing to worry about - heās lying.
When you have a history of being a lying, manipulative, cold-blooded, scorched earth POS (Justice Merrick Garland no hearing ājusticeā neil gorsuch no problem) what else should he expect.
What the Ds need to do at this moment is to claim that they represent the majority of Americans. The Rs have a narrow majority in the Senate, but the Ds can accurately claim that they represent the majority of American who do not like the Trump and Republican agenda or how they do the peopleās business.
And they have a clear way to demonstrate that, too:
States with two D senators and 10 or more electoral votes:
California, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, Minnesota, Virginia
States with two R senators and 10 or more electoral votes:
Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Arizona
Call it a wash for other large states like Florida and Pennsylvania with 1 D and 1 Rā¦
The messaging is that the American people trust and agree with the Ds more than the Rs but the Rs happen to control the entire government. So itās the Rs who have to compromise, not the Ds. Then stand firm on that.
āIf I were a Democrat, I would talk go to [Minority] Leader [Chuck] Schumer and say, āIf you can get the Majority Leader to be a little bit more explicit, I am ready to open up the government,āā Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told reporters after the meeting.
Oh Lindsey, you are such a kidder
āā¦accept a loose promise from himā¦ā
Of course that's the true odometer. Trust me.
Who would believe that weasel?
Well no wall funding and no other random stuff, just a clean CR and a 6 year CHIP extension. That would work for me, then they can fight it out for DACA over the next 3 weeks. Removes CHIP out of republicans hands.
I posted this on another thread, but itās worth posting again.
Senators Worry McConnell Promise On DACA Not Firm Enough To End Shutdown
Whereas I āworryā that itās not firm enough to support the weight of a baby gnat.
This is a vote to extend keeping the government open until Feb 8 !!!
What is wrong with these idiots!
This funding bill should have been taken care of in October 2017.
Why are they trying to run the government on a week by week basis !
Republicans are incompetent. This is just stupid and destructive and VERY Republican
and what about Ryan?
That was the first thing that came to my mind. Democrats have turned playing Charlie Brown to Lucyās football into high farce. Hereās hoping that this time they donāt fall for it yet againā¦
Republicanāt run on a platform of, āGovernment is broken!ā Then they get elected and break itā¦
His intention? What a lying weaselā¦bound to his corporate masters and no one else. Donāt trust him.
Never, ever trust what McTurtle says! See what he doesā¦like breaking his word so often in the past.
Remarkable that Lindsay Graham is saying flat out that you canāt trust his partyās majority leader (or his partyās president). That heās a bad faith bullshit artist. This is obvious, of course, but coming from an elder Republican and recent-Trump BFF, wellā¦
If I were Schumer, Iād offer them a very short-term extension in exchange for CHIP, with a long-term deal only after immigration legislation protecting the DREAMers and maintaining current levels of immigration has cleared the House and been signed by President Millerās sockpuppet.
Actually, what the President should be saying is what Sens Lee and Paul are sayingā¦no negotiations on any amnesty proposal until there is an annual budget passed.
In politics your word is your bond. If your word isnāt any good you are doomed to failure. The Turtle canāt be trusted and Democrats know it.
