Make America African Again!
Ahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa!
Stupid is as stupid does.
They’s all black, you see, that’s all that counts…
There was a puzzling lack of footage showing happy plantation workers, so Burr had to work with what was available.
the ad company used stock video because it was not able to shoot B-roll of students in Pastor Kirby’s program. According to McAuliffe, he was sensitive about ensuring that Kirby’s group’s tax exempt status was not put in jeopardy by being a part of a political ad.
Umm. Gee, if the good pastor or the ad company was afraid of jeopardizing his tax-exempt status why is he appearing in a blatantly partisan political ad?
How how would love to see ALL churches lose their 501©3 status, beginning with the ones that preach from the pulpit. Grifters all.
African, African-American, what’s the difference?
(All those people look alike.)
African-Americans, Africans, same thing to NC GOPers – it’s not like they’re actual Americans.
Hopefully, “Pastor” Kirby now understands that Burr doesn’t see him or his congregation as actual people but as “stock” examples to use as props for White people to feel good about reelecting Burr.
I am SO hoping that NC will just go Blue all the way down ballot.
I look forward to the day that Burr dies in a fire, but this seems like a very small thing.
Well, you know - they all look alike.
’ he was sensitive about ensuring that Kirby’s group’s tax exempt status was not put in jeopardy by being a part of a political ad’…HAHAHAHAHAHA…the irony…
I guess they were thinking along the lines of George Wallace famous “I will never be out-niggered again”.
To his “target demographic” audience in NC “they all look alike” anyway.
This has always been how they source their African Americans.
his excuse the democrats should spend their time ona sexual abuse registery…cool wonder how many preachers would be put on that LIST…not to mention republicons
He’s going to send blacks back to Africa?
I don’t think I’ve seen any ads from his Democratic opponent, and only recently seen these from him.
Also interesting his Linkedin doesn’t really mention him being a pastor even though he’s supposed been the Pastor of a raleigh church since 2001.
Burr is a buffoon - for example - he makes a big deal about his daily driver being a 1974 VW “Thing” - a car that was built to resemble a WWII Nazi Jeep -
North Carolinian Republicans are taking the gold in gaslighting.
When asked why the ad company didn’t try to find stock footage of U.S. children for the ad, McAuliffe reiterated that he had turned to a U.S.-based company. “I don’t think that is the point. The point is that we go to an American entity,”
I’ve purchased many tens of thousands of $$ worth of reproduction rights for images on a wide range of stock image sites over the years, and specifically I have searched for images of African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Asian Americans on numerous occasions. The fact that Burr uses an ad agency whose people can’t discern the differences in physical milieu, dress and hair styles that differentiate Africans from African Americans is testament to their cultural blindness.
In fairness to the VW “Thing” (ex-Kübelwagen) it was “developed” by VW at the behest of the EU in the '50’s to make an “Europa Jeep” (VW originally turned them down) and much like the Jeep"Willys" design, it was seen as an “ain’t broke, don’t fix it” chassis design what with the desire of the EU was to have a amphibious all terrain “jeep”. Just happened VW had designed/made one in the 40’s, so hey… Just make those again! Turns out they were popular civilian cars, particularly in Mexico.
Basically, the VW “Thing” is to Germany as the Jeep “Wrangler” is to America, that “simple off-roader that’s kinda fun to drive, that was once a military design”
That’s not to say Burr is not a moron who makes my state a laughing stock
