Discussion: Senators Ask DOJ, FBI For Info On Trump's Wiretapping Charge

“We would be equally alarmed to learn that a court found enough evidence of criminal activity or contact with a foreign power to legally authorize a wiretap of President Trump, the Trump Campaign, or Trump Tower."

Well, if that doesn’t highlight the double-edged sword Trump hung over his head with nothing but a thread to hold it up, then I don’t know what does.

Sure, you can take that statement as “ermahgerd, it would be shocking to find a court make such a horrible decision”, but of course, what if the evidence supported it? Eh?

Trump opened up Pandora’s Box…ON HIMSELF.

Trump spent 5 years claiming Obama was from Kenya and not American enough to be POTUS. He never offered a shred of proof and in the end was proven wrong. Later he was elected to succeed Obama. What’s to stop him from irresponsible acts if he’s rewarded for them.

We’re going to look very closely at Breibart , then see what Alex Jones has to say before we move on to the expert Mark Leven.
We’ll get to the bottom of this by gum

Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) asked the FBI on Wednesday for information on the possible wiretapping of President Donald Trump, his campaign or Trump Tower.

WTF??

Wasn’t this all supposed to have been obfuscated by Putin’s directive that Wikileaks release all that alleged CIA nothingness? This is not Monday dammit, it’s Wednesday, pay attention!

I know he’s this stupid and I know he was really angry, but he didn’t just step in dog poo with this - he jumped into a whole pile of it with both feet.

Maybe this whole presidentin’ thing is too hard for him because he’s actually expected to go to work and do work instead of just fucking around.

This could also explain why he’s not taking press questions any more.

When you can’t tell true from false, and you can’t tell fact from alt-fact, and you can’t tell reality from imagination, and you don’t even care that you can’t tell those differences, you probably also can’t tell classified from unclassified.

This really looks like the so-called president opened the Trump Door all by himself without realizing the consequences, and that now gives cover to everyone in Congress to do this investigation right, even all those squeamish Republican weasels. It doesn’t matter any more if they would have asked for it themselves, because Trump asked for it.

Maybe too good to be true … or maybe the way this thing always had to end.

Why CAN’T somebody wiretap SOMETHING in Trump Tower? It’s not like the Donald owns the whole building and not everyone that rents there is his ‘friend’ or ‘associate’. If it turns out that someone in the Tower was tapped does that somehow vindicate Trump? Really?

The article says:

Graham and Whitehouse wrote to the acting deputy attorney general and the FBI director that “[c]ongress must get to the bottom of President Trump’s recent allegation that President Obama wiretapped President Trump’s phones during the 2016 election. The White House agrees.”

So, if the investigation shows that 45 made the accusation of felonious conduct by former President Obama intentionally or recklessly without any evidence showing that the accusation had evidentiary support, is this sufficient to impeach him?

Yes, please.

Did the White House comment on the Whitehouse request regarding the White House comment, or did Whitehouse even request a White House comment on the Whitehouse request regarding the White House comment?

The real question here, and I personally am dying over the suspense, is how long are they all going to take a bullet for him? Don’t any of these geniuses realize that the Republican who finally says “Enough” will be the hero? I guess next year is too far away …
