Discussion: Senate Will Vote On Bill To Approve Keystone Pipeline

Discussion for article #230098

Hmmm, how many millions of us are fed up, and not going to take it anymore? What does “not going to take it anymore” mean, in reality?

And Obama will merely sharpen and practice with his VETO! pen.

There is NOTHING beneficial to the USA in the Keystone Pipeline project. Absolutely nothing.

Nothing , not even this, can save Mary. And she is one of the ones that begged Obama not to move on immigration which in turn suppressed the Latino vote. We owe her nothing , but a wave good-bye.

I should send an article about what’s happening in Michigan about a pipeline. These guys are cutting locks on fences and downing trees to make way, without permission from the landowners. They only had permission to survey the properties.

It appears that the property owners have no recourse right now.

It worries me that he won’t veto it. I think he’s been looking for a reason to authorize it all along, and the ‘oh look, it’s bi-partisan’ offers him the perfect excuse. I hope I am wrong.

Yep. Pretty depressing isn’t it. Now I know how republicans felt after we kicked their asses in 2008 and 2012.

At this point? Good riddance.

Chammy, we didn’t kick them nearly enough after Bush. Too much damage.

Actually, if he wanted to authorize it, he would have done it by now. Just the opposite, he’s been delaying and delaying it - hoping the democrats would get a spine but instead, they lost the election and handed the Pipeline to the republicans.

Please stop treating Obama like he’s a fool.

I meant that Obama getting elected and re-elected killed them. That was their two worst defeats ever. Yes, the dems are spineless fucks who I have defended until now, but I am done. It is going to be very difficult to call myself a democrat. I will never vote for a republican, but I might just not vote.

Eff her. Look what the oil industry did to the Gulf.

The KXLP is a done deal. Obama knew it that’s why he delayed approving as long as he could. These scum oil and gas companies will get their way, no matter what. It was just a matter of time. Until some of these republican property owners see the damage this pipeline is going to cause (and it will) not until then will people realize their mistake and it will be too late. Fuck Climate Change and anything else. We are doomed and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. There is absolutely no way under perfect circumstances and a massive scale by every country, that we can turn around climate change.

No, I meant that Bush/Cheney so tainted the pool in every way possible.

We said then that it was going to take years to undo the damage.

And if people don’t vote and think they’re going to be spared? I’ve got news for them. They’re going to be a statistic.

They don’t give a shit. It’s about jobs, jobs, jobs and getting reelected. The people in the gulf know it is contaminated and shrimp have 6 eyes,it;s about jobs and survival now - the future isn’t something they are worried about.

Americans are lazy and stupid. They never look at the long game.

In that case why hasn’t he just come out and said “You know what, this isn’t going to happen while I am in charge.” ?

What a bunch of spineless weasels. Now they have zero difference between the parties.

What fools if they think this will benefit Landrieu one iota. She will lose and the American people will lose more.

Don’t stop fighting assholes. This was not a mandate you dickheads.

Fight damn it and grow a pair! Are you going to give them Ryan’s Budget next you fucking assholes?

That’s the difference then. I look at the long game.

Jobs. We could have jobs. We could have jobs that built the infrastructure. We could have someone who loves this country and wants it to succeed and actually cared enough to run for POTUS.

I have my favorite.

Apparently, it has to get worse before it gets better.
