And so The Racist Party along with some Dems begin to pay back the $60 million or so they received in campaign contributions. The Dems are also not going to put forward a vote on the Loretta Lynch for AG nomination in the lame duck session… Don’t want to agonize those pesky Racists this year because surely they’ll rush to embrace this nominee in 2015.

Because Obama has never had the luxury of giving the finger to the republicans because they know how to demonize him and use it against him and the press doesn’t tell the truth to an american public who doesn’t pay attention to what’s happening in this country. So why give them another talking point about how he wants to destroy jobs, yada yada yada.

Obama is a lot smarter than you give him credit for. He knows how these people play the game - unfortunately he belongs to a party that has no fucking spine

No that won’t work with me bckrd1:. I am tired of voting for a party who doesn’t know how to get their message to the people and who cower to the other side, every time they yell and scream. I will continue to vote in local elections and state wide elections that may make a difference in my life, but until this party decides to get a spine and learn how to stand up for what they believe in, FUCK THEM!!

He won’t veto it. Why good money is being spent on XL while we need to invest in a future without fossil fuels, I dunno. Despite it getting through the Pres, it still may not happen. I expect to see quite a few legal challenges to it that will probably slow it down for some years to come.

Hold on, the Senate agreed to hold a vote. They didn’t agree to approve it.

The bill is going to brought up under rules that require 60 votes to approve. I don’t think they’re bringing it up to pass it, but to let Landrieu cast a vote in favor.

I guess when you never have the chance to point to examples of being right, you have pre-emptively declare that you will be proven right at some indeterminate point in the future, and do a touch down dance about that.

Seriously, chammy. The expression is “You get mad and get even,” not get mad and let them have what they want which is for you not to vote, so they win. The reason Dems lose is this attitude. GOTP nutjobs almost always win in midterms because they don’t care how mad they get at GOTP, they vote anyway because they think they’re voting for the lesser of 2 evils. They’re wrong but at least they get their way which is destroy the country. Learn from GOTP older voters’s dedication, even if misguided.
