Hey Mary. STFU.

Well, she gave it all she had. But with this result, stick a fork in her, she is done.

Congratulations to Senator Elect Bill Cassidy (R-LA).

Well, she is a politician after all, the scum of the planet, has sold her soul to the money years ago. Dream finis, bye bye good riddance.

She was already polling 12 points behind in the runoff anyways, she didn’t have a hope in Hell of this vote saving her.

I have to laugh at Yertle and his “shovel ready” jobs commentary he resurrects everytime this thing comes up. How many reports do Republicans have to read to realize they’re squabbling over 1500 to 2000 semi-permanent to permanent jobs in the absolute best case scenario? Plus - TransCanada has moved on with a made-in-Canada solution with an already existing natural gas pipeline anyways. Keystone may eventually be built, but it isn’t going to be the magic beans anyone in the US right seems to think it will.

Oh wait, sorry…I said Republican and read in the same sentence. My bad.

Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras.

Thank goodness for some good news from the dems.

Well, 41 of them, anyway.

I think Harkin has a pretty good line on what those shovel-ready jobs are.

So, Senator Landrieu shows that she’s willing to “stand up to Obama”, meaning she’ll get cred from all of the Republicans in her state who planned to vote for her opponent. Meanwhile, the Dems managed to thwart this questionable pipeline from being built.

It’s the best of both worlds, and I’m sure Senator Landrieu will be rewarded for showing her fierce independence by winning her runoff in a landslide, right?

It’s nice to see members of the Democratic Party unwilling to destroy the planet to try and save one person’s political career. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the 1%! Take that koch brothers!

Senator Boxer voted against this, of course, saying XL stood for “extra lethal”, and put the shiv in and twisted it.

“Senator Landrieu is the only reason that we are debating this today,” Ms. Boxer said. “Set the politics aside. Let the record be clear forever: This debate would not be before this body were it not for Senator Landrieu’s insistence.”

The incoming repugs are expected to send this again to the president early next year.

Mary Landrieu is toast. People need to remember that it was Mary Landrieu and Max Baucus that stalled the Healthcare Bill from passage and caused it to drag out for almost a year in which it allowed Republicans to mount a strong defense to oppose the bill based on nothing but lies. She deserves to lose her seat after what she has done over the years against the best interest of her party, her state and the American people.

“It’s staying on my agenda,”

Except you won’t be staying in the Senate, so “your agenda” means exactly dogshit.
