Maybe. I’ll agree Mercer was demoing the latest election-throwing tool, but Russian oligarchs live in the UK and send their kids to school in the UK if they have any possibility. Even Russian spies retire in England. Most oligarchs spend more time in London than they do in Moscow.
I too believe that once Barr sees what Mueller has, he will be part of Trump’s demise.

Sinema’s a disappointment – she’s not two months into her term yet. Jones is up in the fall, and it’s going to be a tough race in Alabama.
Manchin … what can you say about Manchin except that he’ll never cast a tough vote to make a symbolic statement. I don’t know what he would have done if it were 50-49 against and Joe had to make a decision.
For that matter, I don’t know what Sinema and Jones would have done if it had been 49 Ayes and 48 Nays. Since the outcome was predetermined, I’m willing to overlook it.
YMMV, of course.

He may have some recessed historical memory in his brain stem of how things are supposed to work, when the DOJ did what the DOJ was supposed to do, with being a hit man or a punching bag for the President (depending on the day of the week) NOT on the list. He has worked with Mueller and knows in his soul he’s not playing around
I think they caucus and Schumer green lights their votes.
These folks exist for one reason - if we ever get a majority in Senate they’ll vote the right (left!) way for majority leader. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

I have to disagree. Barr was pivotal figure in the successful cover-up in the aftermath of Iran-Contra and the escape from justice of those indicted and convicted.
If he can help get the murder and rape of four nuns off the books, a little treason with Russian with a accomplice Senate should be no problem at all.

I even wonder if an emboldened Donald might, despite no longer needing to, fire Mueller just for the satisfaction. Might be the most interesting way for him to hasten his own demise. And he’s certainly temperamentally inclined to do these things to himself.
