The Montgomery city bus boycott had a pretty powerful effect on the civil rights movement. There are no surgical strikes any more against the greed of the wealthy and the hatred of the Bible thumping and white supremicist Republican Party. The people of Georgia have voted these politicians into office…they will have to accept the results. And if the result is pain, even for the wrong ones, that’s sad for them and for the entire state.
The farmers in my state voted like crazy for trump and an amoral asshole (who loves the death penalty) as governor. It’s going to be really sad to see how these farmers fare with crap weather and the Chinese refusing to buy their grain. Land prices have been falling but tax assessments are up, commodity prices are down and the floods have made spring planting a nightmare. But, they’re still saying they want to give trump some more time. I feel bad for their situation, but I don’t feel sorry for them.
