Discussion for article #238494
Good. The fewer bigots in government jobs the better.
If you can’t do the job, don’t do the job.
Live Oak County is about 12,000 people…heavily reliant on Federal money…
Got to Walmart and get a job… oh wait, the Jade Helm folks are using them to round up idiots.
Some people can’t even set aside their hatred in their own self interest. I hate to wish ill will toward anyone, but I hope this woman’s well publicized bigotry precludes her from getting a job anywhere else except maybe at the church where she learned bigotry.
Once again, there is no constitutional right to be a county clerk. If you, however mistakenly, believe that issuing marriage licenses to gay couples violates your religious beliefs, then don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
of course the way it will be spun is that they lost their jobs because of the gays…
MORE OHbUMMer JOB-Killing POLICy!!!1ONE!1!1!1
Two down. How many thousands to go?
Working for the government means “public service.” If you can’t serve the WHOLE public, get out of dodge and go to work for some private company.
Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out! Bub by.
More please. Run them ALL out of town…
You know what? Good. The fact of the matter is that if it’s that big of a problem for you, you should quit since you can no longer do your job.
So, mad props to this bigot for actually following through rather than demanding both having their bigot cake and eating it too.
Bye, Felicia!
She did the right thing in resigning gracefully. Read the linked article. The Equality Texas spokesman speaks well of her.
Exactly, she has just proven that she has her “religious freedom” without trampling on the rights of others. The rest of that benighted posse should follow her example or, perhaps, grow up and get over themselves.
And bit of job creation …AND…another government bigot and homophobe is GONE! I’d say that’s a WIN/WIN!
It’s a win-win. She got her religious freedom and the public gets the law upheld ( marriage licenses for all). I think she deserves cudos for doing the right thing without making a pity party mess.
Good but I’m still waiting for a Sheriff to resign instead of evicting a family from their home, because he believes that what he does to the least among us is what he does to Jesus Christ Himself. Getting real tired of the contemptible reasons people keep playing that religious freedom card.
