Scott Walker jumps the shark. Howard Dean moment. Gratifying.
OK, so Scott Walker doesnât know if Obama is Christian. Fair enough; neither do I. I also donât know if Scott Walker harbors a secret desire to be a member of the KKK. I donât know if he likes kicking small children when no-oneâs watching. While I would have liked for him to have followed his âI dunnoâ with a âbut I have no reason to doubt his statements that he is Christian,â Iâm not sure his claim of ignorance quite rises up to âquestioning President Obamaâs religionâ as the DNC spokesperson said.
And, in case anyone is wondering â while I donât know if Mr. Walker harborâs white supremacist or anti-child sentiments, I have no reason to believe he does. But that doesnât mean Iâd want him running my state, let alone my country!
Global warming, evolution, Obamaâs patriotism, whether Obamaâs a Christian.
Funny how the college drop out just keeps adding to the list of things he says he doesnât know . . .
Yes. But. Walker could just as easily have said, âYesâI believe Obama is a Christian. Now, will you people stop asking me asinine questions? The upcoming election isnât about Obama, much less his religion or lack thereof.â Instead, his spokesperson has to go mop up this mess . . . but whatâs going to get played on the news isnât the mopping up but the mess.
I missed the abortion punt. How can anyone who punted on abortion still be considered a contender for the Republican nomination?
Funny thing, I donât know if Scott Walker is a child molesterâŚ
One more timeâŚfrom Bullshit 101:
You make a comment that perpetuates the meme:
âI donât know if Obama is a Christianâ
The remark is obviously constructed to avoid you saying no. allow you to escape the heat youâd get for saying he isnât but maintain the doubt Obama is a Christian.
But you go home and get told thatâs an old hackneyed methodâŚeveryone can see though it âŚitâ
s not going to work for youâŚso you spin:
âOf course the governor thinks the president is a Christian,ââŚwell why in the hell did he say he didnât know? Then you do the Blame the Media thing.
Someday I hope the MSM will throw off their concerns with being labeled âliberalâ that fishing for Conservatives isnât going to workâŚtheyâre only interested in FOX baitâŚand realize the abuse these GOP assholes subject them to licenses them to get down on them. Just get in their face: "Governor, you may choose to claim I have a Liberal bias but you said you did not know whether Obama was a Christian, an approach many Republicans have used, but as soon as that began to show signs of backfiring you said of course heâs Christian and blamed YOUR words on the media. It sounds like youâre trying to have your cake and eat it too Governor. It also sounds like you have one thing to say for one audience and something else to say when facing another. Can you comment on that "
Iâm not going to hold my breath.
Me neither. The problem with this creep is that he very much morphs into different people in front of different audiences. Scott Walker is very very dangerous.
I donât think he punted on Abortion. He punted on Evolution and Obamaâs patriotism.
This is a rerun of the same rightwing aspersions cast during Obamaâs first presidential campaign. That worked really well for them.
Heâs a serious punt.
Perhaps the salient question is this: Governor, do you think it is appropriate for public officials to pass judgment on a personâs religious faith? If you become President, will you be deciding who is or who is not a âChristian?â
Look!! Itâs The Kardashianos!!!
That is not a salient question here on Planet Stupid.
It is like asking Sarah Palin what newspapers she reads.
Hey, Scott, are you a christian?
Every time this SOB opens his yap, he showâs he donât know fuck all about anything except how to destroy Wisconsin. Letâs hope he doesnât last long enough to actually get a seat on the clown car thatâs coming back around.
Sure wouldnât be surprised.
âI donât know if Mr. Walker harborâs white supremacist or anti-child sentiments,â
it would be irresponsible not to speculate.
âYouâve asked me to make statements about people that I havenât had a conversation with about. How [could] I say if I know either of you are a Christian?â
Yâknow, heâs right. Since Iâve never had a conversation with Scott Walker, how could I say if I know whether he likes having sex with little boys?
I had a friend who was a teenager in Iran (her father was a US career diplomat). She told me about a member of the Shahâs family who had her own palace, that was mostly inhabited by the dozens (at least) dogs she was crazy about. The staff in this place spent most of their time running around with whisk brooms and such cleaning up the little piles of you-know-what all over the place â who wants to take out a dog from a fifty-room palace anyway?
That is what Scott Walkerâs staff must feel like, since there boss these days seems to be living little deposits of steaming brown stuff wherever he goes.all over the place.
