Pandora was hereâŚshe left this box for youâŚopened.
This is just so many levels of awesome. Iâm assuming the Supremes will be taking âequal treatmentâ in to account for this.
My faith is real! Their mythology isnât!
That myth has always puzzled meâŚIs the moral that we still have hope, or that hope is locked away from mankind? And why was it the only good thing in the box?
What these guys arenât getting is that the SCOTUS ruling was only for Christian based groups. They thought they made the perfectly clear when they spelled out a few of the religious exemptions that donât agree with.
Women arenât closely held corporations, and thus canât be people. Iâm pretty sure the supremes will rules something along those lines. Or theyâll decide that the stateâs compelling interest in forcing women to be given false information is too important to allow a religious exemption.
The Satanists turn out to be a very logical bunch, who understand what is going on around them
Here we go! Iâll bring the popcorn.
Because they know that their mythology is designed to get them what they want. Others donât have that much self awareness.
I have read that to the Greeks, hope was bogus so it was a âwell, thank the gods, at least hope didnât get awayâ thing. If thatâs true, Iâd wonder whether a cultureâs rating of âhopeâ is linked to whether its dominant religion says the afterlife is awesome or dismal.
Oh boy, I was waiting for something like this! Just you watch the reactions when them Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, etc. jump on this bandwagonâŚ
I would be eating a bucket of popcorn but Iâm just too giddy right nowâŚ
Outstanding.
You will get to see how prescient William O. Douglas was when he said in his dissent in Yoder, that the Supreme Court would rule differently when a challenge to a law is brought by a religious group they donât view favorably.
wait. which one are you? a âsatanistâ or a âchristianâ? 'cause from my perspective, theyâre both silly.
âNobody could have predictedââŚ
Satanic Temple: Supreme Court has ruled that religious beliefs trump law.
Of course, the Hobby Lobby ruling â like all decisions in which the courtâs GOP majority panders to the right â qualifies the term âreligious beliefâ with the footnote, ânon-Christians need not apply.â
Iâm someone who has the sense to see that mythology is neat, but organized religion was designed to keep the masses under control.
Basically, âbend over and take it, itâs for your own goodâ or âbend over and take it, youâll get your reward after youâre deadâ.
The most impressive con man ever is the person who managed to actually peddle those ideas with a straight face.
The sad truth is that satanists have done more to uphold real religious liberty (including freedom from religion) than all the Christian denominations combined.
For the record, as an atheist, none of these folks who believe in the metaphysical are persuasive to me, including the satanists.
Conservatives side with the devil? No shit.
Heh. Who knew these guys would prove themselves useful?
