Discussion: Santorum: Trump Had To Hire Manafort Because 'Nobody Wanted To Work For Him'

No, that step has already occurred. It’s on page 2 of the Senate Songbook.

LAUGHABLE, Ricky.

Already public, is information that trashes your little opinion. Every top official of Trump’s campaign had ties to Russia. And then they ALL lied about it.

So, fuck you very much for your contribution to Trump. I hope it’s tax-deductible for you.

Traitor.

Well the other 15/16 Republican primary challengers certainly didn’t do their best to challenge Trump. I mean here was this TV, reality TV at that, personality up against seasoned campaigners and they all succumbed to playing Trump’s game. This is something that has bothered me from the first debate.

‘Poor Donnie…due to NO FAULT OF HIS OWN he had to hire these crooked motherfkers who (probably) colluded with Russia… It LOOKS bad that Trump wanted to give Vlad a $50 million condo but that’s the way moguls do business…it CERTAINLY doesn’t mean he was trying to sell out America!’ Do the Cons that float this stuff dream it up themselves or are they handed a script?

It would have been better presentation had he worked himself into a frothy lather about it.

(I’ll see myself out…)

Hey Rick!

Even someone as sleazy as you wouldn’t go to work for Orange Foolius?

I’m shocked, I tell you! Shocked

I hate to say it, but Santorum is at least partially correct. Manafort, and most of the rest of Trump’s original team, were hired because legitimate, respected campaign people wouldn’t work for him. His campaign was considered a joke, everyone was aware of his tendency to not pay and he was viewed as a bad employer. Manafort hadn’t been involved as a senior person in campaigns since Reagan’s original run in 1976, where he was a vote counter, not a campaign manager. Compounding this problem, Trump has terrible judgment about people. Santorum is also correct in saying that it’s possible that Manafort was a rogue, but we don’t yet know whether that’s true.

After all, no one was flayed alive or anything, so how bad could it be?

“Nobody wanted to work for this crime boss except criminals. Can’t blame him for being a crime boss. Would you want to work for crime boss? I mean, come on! Nobody who wasn’t a criminal would!”

The lawyers have a term for this kind of “reasoning.” I’m not sure what it is, but “statement of the obvious” comes to mind.

So what Santorum is saying is that yes,the Russians did steal the election from Clinton and installed Trump as their hand picked tool, but since only Trump’s campaign manager knew about it it’s okay.

Good grief. I almost choked on my cereal when I saw the headline.

Trump couldn’t/can’t get anyone to work for him, so he hired the best he could even though they were being blackmailed by Putin? Give me a break. This is the best Santorum can come up with now that all those laid off and forced-labor government workers and contractors are gunning for the GOP?

If Manafort was being blackmailed, then why are we supposed to think Donald is so innocent of working with Russia? It’s like the GOP is now admitting that they are ready to sacrifice Donald to Mueller. Once the Christian Right replaces RBG with a conservative, Trump can go to Hades? And to think all Donald ever wanted was unwavering loyalty. Who hasn’t been using Trump?

Pence is moving in for the kill, folks. Whitey can almost taste the champagne toast after he is sworn in as the new president. You can’t find this kind of treachery even on GoT. .

There is nobody left in the country who doesn’t believe that Donald wasn’t at the center of all of it.

Trump doesn’t play second banana to anyone. He’s the only one who is ever allowed to steer his ship directly at the iceberg. Not anyone else. It’s his reality show and Santorum better stop questioning his expertise.

Whatever CNN is paying Santorum is ‘that amount’ too much! They would wise to fire him and ask for a refund.
