Discussion for article #238359
More like this please!!! These folks will never see the inside of the WH with this kinda talk. Wow
Continue tilting at windmills Herr Santorum.
Mark my words. Someday we’re going to find that this horrible little man has whole boneyards of skeletons in his closet.
That’s some courage there, Rick.
Why didn’t you whip this one out right away? You’ve had weeks.
Good luck man, we’re all counting on you!
(snicker)
Santorum please stop self santoruming in public.
On the top shelf, right by last fall’s suede pumps
SOMEBODY look at ME!!!
“I argued that 10 years ago when others wanted to do that 10 years go. You can’t have a hodge-podge of marriage,” Santorum said. "One of the reasons the court decided the way they decided is because they recognized you couldn’t have different marriage laws in different states. It just causes – it just creates too much confusion out there."
I remember when he said that – and I totally agreed … as did SCOTUS.
Sorta like self-immolation except with runny poop? He is one nasty dude, isn’t he?
Who’s saying, “yeah, that’ll work…” ?? I mean… where does this guy live? The earth hasn’t exploded since the SCOTUS decision… It’s like all these people yelling, “the government is taking our rights.” I always want to know, “What rights exactly? Please list them.” And the same with Santorum…“why? who cares?”
HEY Rick!!! we HAVE a national standard for marriage now… you just don’t like it… GET OVER IT!!!
How is the Constitution amended?
Article V of the Constitution prescribes how an amendment can become a part of the Constitution. All 27 Amendments have been ratified after two-thirds of the House and Senate approve of the proposal and send it to the states for a vote. Then, three-fourths of the states must affirm the proposed Amendment.

Various polls reflect nearly 60% of the populace approves of same sex marriage. Something about Santorum's model for amendment passage seems amiss. He must be using home school math.

“I believe we need a national standard for marriage…”
I believe that’s what we have now, Rick.
“I believe we need a national standard for marriage.”
You’re in luck, Ayatollah Santorum. That wish has been granted.
Moving on…
Nah, first he got to have his friends the REPUG govs disenfranchise anyone not willing to fly the Stars and Bars…
Santorum Calls For A Constitutional Amendment To Ban Same-Sex Marriage…
“How else will I resist? I can’t even trust the pope to back me anymore…”
Okay, Santorum has now effectively announced that he is no longer running for president. So what IS he running for? Does he really think Fox News has an opening for a theocracy pundit? Does he think gay-bashing is going to sell a lot of books? I really don’t see where he’s going with this.
