Discussion: Sanders To CNN: Your Network Calls Trump 'Evil' 'Day-In, Day-Out'

Sanders seems to think that the functions of the free press and the President (of all the people) of the United States are the same. I don’t think she’d like it much if a Democratic President treated Fox, et al, in the same fashion.

Sarah, can you point to a single instance of CNN calling Trump ā€œevilā€. Just one.

One, Trump is evil. Two, I would like to see one quote from anyone at or on CNN actually calling Trump evil.

The very first thing your network did was come out and accuse the President of being responsible for it,ā€ she told reporters on Thursday. ā€œThat is not okay. The first thing should have been to condemn the violence.ā€

It’s not incumbent upon CNN to condemn the violence. THEY are not the ones who are inciting the violence. Rump IS responsible for the incitement. Oh, and Huckster, every media organization has the receipts to prove this. In fact, every MSM org. has tapdanced around calling him ā€œevil.ā€ Keep pushing the envelope and by next year, they might.

I wish more people at CNN, MSNBC, et al would call Trump evil. Because that’s precisely what he is.

Three , I would like to see Sarah saying something truthful

I know that Trump and Sanders don’t understand this, but it is the President’s job to protect the rights of the press to characterize him as evil. Why, Trump even took an oath on the Bible to do so! Of course, he also took wedding oaths. Three times…

Yes. But they base every one of their arguments for him on the premise that he’s not evil, that he’s honestly striving to do good stuff. It’s a profoundly false bad-faith argument, but boy do they get huffy about it.

Sanders To CNN: Your Network Calls Trump ā€˜Evil’ ā€˜Day-In, Day-Out’

They’re a news organization, Sarah. Not Trump flutters like Fox.

I cannot express the disgust this woman evokes from me. She is despicable with her lies, blaming and rudeness. I don’t ever like to believe the worst in people and I hope she is a good mother to her kids but in her professional position she is one of many of the reasons our country is so divisive today.

Her fecally infected brain is leaking feces into her ears so she is not sure what she hears.

See, Sarah, this is where higher education comes in. Quoting someone else saying your Administration is doing ā€œevilā€ things, or Trump’s policies are ā€œevilā€ (note the quotation marks, those will be important later) is not saying yourself that Trump is evil.
Your President calls his opponents evil. Now his opponents are his enemies. That’s dangerous and autocratic, and demagogic. And certain to destroy our democracy. That is ā€œevilā€.

I can’t wait to watch her perp walk.

I think Trump himself has called the media and some critics ā€œevil.ā€ But, Sarah, if that word is too harsh for you, perhaps the media can use other of Trump’s own words to describe him - crooked, lying, low IQ, enemy of the people, little Donnie, disaster, crazy, low-energy, heartless, dangerous, nasty, shady, slimeball, slippery, lightweight, wacky, crazy, fake, …

ETA: I see I said crazy twice. Nothing improper with that, when describing that fucking moron.

When someone called out to Harry Truman, ā€œGive 'em hell, Harry,ā€ he said, ā€œI just tell the truth and they think it’s hell.ā€
