I am always amused by the “we need to take our country back” slogan. I want to ask “who took it” “when did it get taken”. And Jane where are the damn income tax returns. I count this as day 5 that we have seen this incompetent surrogate (and liar" ) on network news. I am sure Devine and Weaver will make sure that she is interviewed outside the Vatican tomorrow. I want someone to ask who is paying the bill for them to go on this gig? Maybe tonight? Not - Wolf is hosting the “debate” tonight so it will be all Bernie all is good. And questions about how HRC and DeBlasio made a joke no one except New Yorkers understood and label her a racist.

What is she running to accomplish? To do achievable (small) things? Big deal.

That is beyond ridiculous. Running for President is not just a game. I can’t believe you even believe your own rhetoric

I agree.

If my car’s not running right I don’t take it to Tony Robbins, I take it to a freaking mechanic.

I’ll take pragmatism and competence over righteous indignation any day of the week.

Roughly half of Democratic voters are behind Sanders and about 60% of Independents as well. I’d say there’s a groundswell for change and if you don’t see that there is, you’re blind.

According to Mrs. Sanders a few minutes ago, they didn’t know about Song’s comments until this morning. Yeah right?

They also publish Amanda Marcotte, a smart Gen X feminist, who supports HRC without being dismissive of Sanders supporters.

Please post the link to that poll and numbers you cite, please

When someone says someone was/is “telling it like it is”, I dismiss that person as a moron who hasn’t a clue that there’s a difference between fact and opinion. It’s really just another trait many of the Sanders and Trump fans share.

Yeah … to actually do small achievable things that can help everyday people live their lives with dignity and equality.

It is a big deal actually.

Then why is she running? To do the achievable? At her age she should have better things to do.

If she is unwilling to shake things up, she really shouldn’t be running. Unless you don’t think things need a good shaking.

I know - it’s almost impossible to catch iup

You’re right about the Indies, wrong about the Dems. Sanders does not pull in more Dem votes than Clinton. That’s borne out in the fact that he can 't win closed Democratic primaries.

Berniacs cannot come to terms with the fact that political change comes form the ground up when the citizens are ready for it. You can prime the pump as much as you want but political change doesn’t happen because someone is told it’s time to happen.

EDIT TO ADD: If you’re referring to the fact that he holds rallies that lots of people attend, I would point out that those haven’t really translated to, you know, more votes.

… so why is he losing?

Sure, as long as you realize that the latter is accomplished not by throwing irrational, unsupportable, identity politics insult bombs, but by taking policy positions that can be defended with cogent, rational, fact-based arguments. Shit like accusing Clinton of running for POTUS solely to be the first woman POTUS isn’t afflicting the comfortable, it’s just childishly annoying and a waste of everybody’s fucking time.

“Shaking things up” vs. “Achieving things”

Is this really a choice you’re asking us to make?

I mean it’s not like the latter begets the former or anything (re: Same sex Marriage, ACA, service members being able to be openly gay, etc.)

Rosario Dawson seriously pissed me off, not just for her comment that Hillary is under FBI investigation but that people lost faith in Obama in two months after taking office.

She may have played Dolores Huerta and got paid. She is no Dolores Huerta in the real world. There is a sea of difference between actually fighting and playing a heroine in a shitty revolution drama.

Actually I like the comment, but I don’t think anybody should run for President to do achievable things. If you want to do small things run for city council.

I guess Ron also believes Obama only ran for president to accomplish being the first black president. These kinds of idiotic statements are what created the highly appropriate “Bernie Bro” title. Anyone who thinks Clinton only cares about women’s issues or being the first president with a vagina is just a misogynistic prick. If all you hear when she speaks is talk of her womanhood then that’s a symptom of your own issues, not her’s.
