Schultz is behaving like an authoritarian Clinton - o - phile. Really she should join all the other authoritarians in the republican party. Her actions make me re-think being a registered democrat. This is truly abominable. And, a very good way to drum up support for Sanders. Schultz is obviously in way over her head.
DWS is claiming it was downloaded. That doesnât mean it happened, just that brooklyndweller isnât the one making it up.
No, no, no for you, too. Bernieâs staff did not just inadvertently peek around a door at Hillaryâs data. They went looking for it, and downloaded it.
Now I agree the sanction here is odd, but so is the whole set-up. Why are both campaigns sending their data to one place? Why doesnât Bernie keep a copy of what he sends off to DNC? And most importantâwhat did everyone agree to when they came up with this arrangement in the first place?
Can you provide a link to the article you cited about no data being downloaded or used? I was not aware of this. This article here says this:
Weaver said that the Sanders campaign is âconfidentâ that some of its data was erroneously sent to another Democratic campaign at that time.
So data was âsentâ. Kind of unclear what that means. Also, this article states regarding the Sanders campaign staff:
âŚthe campaign is currently reviewing the emails and documents of other campaign employees who also may have conducted searches of other campaignsâ information.
So either they actively breached the firewall on purpose, or why else conduct an active search for the other campaigns voter data?
Just asking.
Damned confusing . So, The DNC was maintaining a data repository - and in the repository there was a âSanders sectionâ and a âClinton sectionâ ⌠and potentially some structural/ formatting / standardized elements were common - but each campaign had their own individual sections of proprietary data ⌠then there was a glitch that allowed a Sanders guy to look at the Clinton Section data and do what ever ⌠and in response, the DNC has now shut sown the Sanders campaignâs access to the âSanders Sectionâ??? Seriously? They have locked Sanders out of his own data? Did I misunderstand something? Certainly what the Sanders guy did was wrong, wrong - but they canât turn around and essentially confiscate all of his data - which is essentially what they are doing if they have arbitrarily decided to lock him out of his own data. If this is a correct interpretation of what has happened, it is nuts - and YES - sue them!
Wow, just wow. 1) More than one Bernie staffer downloaded unauthorised data. It is compleatly fair and reasonable that all Bernie access is blocked until the facts can be established, anything else is unfair and unreasonable. 2)Sanders is doing very well in a relatively small section of the population and not so well everywhere else. That is not oligarchy but democracy. I worked to get Bernie elected mayor in Vermont, then congressman, then Senator. I like and respect Bernie, but Hillary will make a better president. When people compare the two, many more choose Hillary, thatâs people power.
All reports say otherwise.
I donât think itâs a setup. I think itâs an unfortunate occurrence, but of course we canât rely on technology to be infallible. As for why doesnât the Sanders campaign keep a copy, thatâs a good question. Maybe itâs some sort of proprietary software that interprets the data and makes it more valuable than the basic info alone.
âSanders spokesman Michael Briggs said four Sanders campaign staffers accessed Clinton data, and that three of them did so at the direction of their boss, Josh Uretsky, who was the operative fired.â
DWS probably thinks streaming video is downloaded.
Nope,n ot making up stuff, just going by info I read in the Bloomberg article which appears to have updated info.
If nothing else, this whole debacle exposes how COMPLETELY DEMENTED some of Bernieâs supporters are and it doesnât make them look good by having Weaver go on offense. They canât win over the voters they need by acting out like this.
Itâs called paying the price for your staffers stupidity.
⌠He said that the campaign experienced a similar issue in October. Weaver
said that the Sanders campaign is âconfidentâ that some of its data was
erroneously sent to another Democratic campaign at that time.
So this has happened before, but when the Sanders campaign was the injured party, the DNC headed by Clinton supporter Debbie Wasserman Shultz did not think it worth mentioning. Whoâs campaign do you think got Sanderâs data? Does anybody really believe the Sanders data was compromised by OâMalley or Chaffee?
If the database administrator âknowsâ what was accessed and by whom now, he also knew then. So who stole the Sanders data in October?
No, it is the DNC database and DNC data, all of it. Some people are marked as having expressed interest in âBernieâ, some âHillaryâ and some âbothâ. Multiple Bernie staffers searched, found and downloaded people marked âHillaryâ. This is clearly unauthorised access and it is perfectly fair and reasonable that all Bernie staffers are blocked until everyone understands what happened to the data that was downloaded.
Difference between data being mistaking sent to someone else and you getting someone elses data.
Be like getting your neighbors mail in your mailbox vs you going over to your neighbors mailbox and taking shit.
Wasserman Schultz is not handling things with much tact. This reeks of an opportunistic decision. She was looking for an opportunity to stick it to the Sanders campaign and she seems to make decisions out of political emotion, not as a neutral administrator. Her rejection of the notion of competing in every state, every district also troubles me. Sheâs very âconventional wisdomâ at a time when we donât need that (and when it hasnât really worked in the first place!).
Good for Sanders for threatening to sue. You canât kneecap a campaign like this.
Why???
Why would they need to stick it to Sanders?
WHY i ask you.
He is behind by double digits points everywhere expect NH where he is up by like 4.
So the DNC is actively trying to harm Sanders for what reason? What motivation would they have to piss off a segment of voters that they need to turn out in the general?
If this was a neck to neck race your suggestion would hold more merit, but atm the polls suggest the DNC does not have to do anything to help Hillary.
When are the Republicans going to announce that both the Senate and House will launch investigations into âDataghazi?â
HRC must end this now, get Bernie his info, whack Debbie and focus on the job at handâŚ
OK, this is at least the third time that youâve cast aspersions about Sanders supporters being off the rails. I am a Sanders supporter, I gotta say that youâre not painting a very nice picture of Hillary supporters with those sorts of ad hominem attacks.
Let Sanders sue. Let him. I canât see any court deciding in his favor. I could be wrong; Iâm not acting as judge and jury.
This is EXACLY what Sanders did not need. Heâs already having to deal with the whole âSocialist Democratâ label that so many in this country automatically put down without thinking twice . I would think that this debacle would just turn Independent voters off. And those are gonna be votes he needs,
