Discussion: Sanders Blames The Media For His 'Unqualified' Tiff With Clinton

With an icy stare from Neil Patrick Harris, that’s how.

So in other words, he still hasn’t seen the interviews, or read beyond the misleading headline that someone misinterpreted for him. Or, worse yet, he did, but didn’t understand it.

In this case, he CAN…it WAS the media. There was never an ‘unqualified’ WORD, either in the question or the answer from Clinton UNTIL the media starting running crap on the bottom of the screen, blogs and aggregates picking it up and ‘reporters’ running to the Sanders campaign for a ‘comment’. It was a circle jerk by the media from the get-go.

Will he release the transcripts of those paid speeches …

Old Man Smithers sure has been cranky lately. So he’s blaming the media supposedly for creating a non-existent tiff . . . but then says exactly what the media reported? Sorry, Bernie, but you sound like a total dick here.

Sanders is obviously not ready for the big leagues. His straight up saying “I will raise you taxes” and now this are just two examples. Thanks for creating a great ad for GOP in the general election.

He was there too so one would think he’d know better. I think the bright lights and attention has gone to his head.

Saw that and threw up a little in my mouth.

Gosh, Sen Sanders still does not get it with his non-apology apology. Sec. Clinton never said he was not qualified. She said he needed to do his homework on a few issues. Which was true and is STILL TRUE. The best thing he can do is to develop a plan to deregulate the banks and put it on his website. Thats how you prepare to be president…do the work.

Media helped ‘create’ Trump as they ‘enhanced’ “the Dean scream” and, now, they are trying this and Bernie’s newbies are falling for it.

I agree. I’ve actually followed Bernie since the 90s (went to college in NY near VT border and made very frequent trips into that state for various causes and fun) and have always liked him, but his campaign has really turned me off in a lot of ways. But the issue that strikes me the most is his entire campaign, initially, was about getting young people involved in politics (local, regional, national) and he hasn’t done that, he’s gotten them involved in “Bernie Sanders”, not politics, and definitely not at a local level. He either never intended or lost sight of his original goal (which wasn’t at odds with a successful nomination) and it’s beginning to hurt both his long term goals and those of liberals and progressives. It’s an easy fix, but I’m not sure Bernie’s ego is willing to go there (i.e. he needs to support the Democratic party AND the eventual nominee, be it him or Hillary).

No, not at all. His excuse is, “I’m lazy, and that’s the media and Clinton’s fault”.

Precisely what I believe and what scares me most.

How very TRUMPISH of him.
Blame the media! Blame the Staffers! Blame the Opponent!
I have been saying since the start that Bernie is the opposite side of the coin that is Donald Trump.
All Ego. No Policy.
Thank you Bernie for going there and proving me correct. Again.

So what you’re saying is, your candidate, the guy who likes to pretend he’s the smartest guy in the room, allowed himself to be manipulated by the media?

Jesus christo.

the malestrom of vitriol and demagoguery

I love this phrase. It was used in a slightly different context on another thread but it fits here to describe what Mrs. Clinton’s had to endure, on a national level at campaign intensity, for, what, nearly 30 years and, as near as I can remember, always with a relatively cool, feet firmly planted, head.

Dog knows HRC doesn’t need the likes of me to defend her and offer up reasons to support her, but I don’t believe she’s ever offered up explanations without having thought the entire issue through, and then when she does speak it’s detailed and reasoned. She’s been a debater since she was in HS and that training and practice is what we see when she goes on a debate stage or into a press conference or any kind of interview. Blaming the media is the fallback position for the candidate who is unsure of his own positions, see Drump

A major boo-boo on his part and still no real apology.

Jeesh, when Joey Scar defends Clinton, you know it’s a bad, bad day for Bernie!

And an entirely different storyline merely related to the issue of certain media suckage…

It is not surprising but still amazing… he is digging deeper.
